Campground
- All campers must present a VALID Driver’s License at Check-in.
- Each camper is responsible for ensuring all entry and exit gates are closed and secured after they pass through them. Close and latch all entry/exit gates.
- If arriving after 7pm please make sure we know in advance.
- Reservations requested less than one week in advance of check-in must be made directly through a call to Daily Walk Stables (765) 730-0776.
- CANCELATION POLICY: Reservations made in advance with a deposit is subject to a $25 cancellation fee. Deposits will be refunded if canceled 14 days before day of reservation less $25 booking fee. Within 13 days you can transfer your reservation to another date (within 6months) less the $25 reservation fee.
- The minimum age for reserving a site is 18 and they must occupy the site.
- Quiet time is 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.
- Fees are subject to change, but not for confirmed reservations.
- Do not dump gray water on the ground. No Dump Station is provided.
- No charging electric vehicles
- For longer stays we do have above ground septic tanks. Please call for pricing.
- Any camper can be evicted for misconduct or not following Policies and Rules
- Common Areas include: The office, the screened porch, the green area in front of the office, outhouses, horse stalls, shared campfire rings.
- Campers accept 100% responsibility for the safety, damage and security for themselves, and their personal property including, but not limited to: vehicles, horse trailers, Rv’s, Travel trailers, tents, other camping units as well as pets and any damage or injury their animals may cause to others.
- Campfires Fires permitted in the provided fire rings and campers personal fire rings that are suspended on legs. Fire rings must be placed over grass, clay or gravel areas: Not on peat or pine straw.
- This is a Non-Smoking Property. No Smoking on campsites 5-9 because they are in the woods, you can smoke on the sand road behind or the grass area in-front of these campsites. You can smoke on the other campsites only. TAKE ALL CIGERET BUTTS HOME WITH YOU.
- At this time TRASH is to be removed from the campsite and put into the provided dumpster. Trash put into trash cans on the campsites must be in plastic bags.
- Please do not use our fire rings as garbage cans and do not burn trash.
- Vehicle speed limit is 5mph throughout the campground. Equine and pedestrians have the right-a-way. Golf Carts and ATVs drivers must have a driver’s license.
- Alcohol consumption is limited to your campsite area and must be concealed.
- We are not responsible for accidents, damaged property, lost or stolen property. Guests are responsible for their own property. Guests have fully inspected and approved the campsite before setting up on the site.
- Campsites Rates are for 2 adults and 2 children. Each site can accommodate a maximum of 6 people (or one family) per site. For groups larger groups please review additional charges or reserve additional campsite(s). Maximum people per campsite is 6.
Visitor Policy
- Campers are responsible for their guests. Visitors must leave by 9 p.m. unless registered and paid as overnight guests. No visitors are allowed to enter the property after 9 p.m. All day visitors must be registered in advance of your reservation dates, and sign waivers. Guests Day Visitors are not allowed to bring horses to the campground property without advanced reservations. Current Coggins and Day Fees do apply $10 per horse and an additional $10 to use a 12x12 pipe corral.
We reserve the right to ask any camper to leave, as well as reject any entry to the campground. A few instances where you would be asked to leave are listed below: but not limited to these reasons:
1. TO ACCESS the WMF Trails: 3 miles by trailer to Magnolia Hill DAY PARKING, 728 Furr Rd, Vass, NC 28394. DWS does have a six horse trailer guests can reserve for use during their stay. No charges apply, just a copy of driver’s license and an additional waiver to sign.
2. Do Not Take Dogs onto the Moss Trails. Keep dogs leashed while on the Campground.
3. Do Not Drink Alcohol Beverages on the trails or anywhere on the Campground except your campsite.
4. Do Not Litter on the trails or on the campground. Do not put trash in fire pit rings or in manure pile. Do not dump your ashes on the ground. If you put the fire out with water and they are completely cool you can dump the ashes on the manure pile.
5. No Loud, Unruly or Disruptive Noises or Behavior on or off your campsite.
6. No drugs allowed on this property, no drunken or misbehavior tolerated.
7. TRASH must be put into trash bags before putting into Trash Cans. PLEASE I do not want to handle
your trash.
Horse Policies
- Proof of negative Coggins test within the last 12 months must be reviewed before horses can be unloaded.
- Campers accept 100% responsibility for the safety and security of their horse trailers, Rv’s, Travel trailers, tents, horses and other pets and any damage or injury their animals may cause to others.
- Horse Owners accept 100% responsibility for the SAFETY and SECURITY of their horses regardless of the Owners “presence.” If the Owners chose to leave their horses unattended, while they leave the campground, they must secure their animal in their assigned stall or corral.
- Horse Owners MUST HAVE PERMISSION to Board their horse at Daily Walk Stables while they stay off property. Horse Owners accept 100% responsibility for the SAFETY and SECURITY of their horses regardless of the Owners “presence.” See and Initial Reservation Form where indicated.
- Do not tie horses to trees or other campground fixtures unless hitching rails or high lines are provided by Daily Walk Stables.
- Only bring 1 HORSE per RIDER! You are not allowed to leave one horse at the campground when you ride out.
- Leave Stalls and Corrals CLEAN as you found them. Cleanup hay/shavings/Manure. A manure dump area is provided. Please clean up after your horses before departing the campground. Your account will be charged $25 per horse for cleaning if you leave the stalls, corrals, trailer or other hitching areas with manure or hay in them. You may also not be welcomed back to the campground. Suggestion that you take pictures of your stall or corral before you unload and after you load your horse to leave.- Do not run or lunge your horse on open campground property. If the round pen is setup, you may use it for lunging. Please limit your time in it so others may use it too. Do not leave horses unattended in the round pen without permission.
- Horses must walk while on the Daily Walk Stables campgrounds and equestrian easements.
- If your horses dig holes while tied or stabled, please fill before you leave.
- NO Stallions
- Wash horses at wash rack areas only.
- Muck Buckets on carts are provided and you will need to bring your own pitchforks.
Daily Walk Stables highly recommends the wearing of Safety Helmets while riding and carriage driving. Children eighteen years (18) and under are required to wear a Safety Helmet on the properties of Daily Walk Stables and the equestrian easement to Causey Road.
Dog Policies
- Dogs are allowed. Aggressive dogs are not allowed.
- Daily Walk Stables can evict any camper with a dog for any reason and at any time.
- Dogs to be on a leash no greater than 6 feet at all times. There is no exception to this policy. Covid-19 regulations require you to maintain a 6-foot distance between your dog and other people.
- Dogs cannot be left unattended in a vehicle or on the campsite. Must be housed inside Campers if owners are off-site.
- Dogs cannot be left unattended in Tents; campers cannot go off-site and leave dogs in a tent.
- Dogs are not allowed on the Walthour-Moss Foundation. Please go to www.Walthour-Moss.org to see the Foundations Policies and Rules, and how you can donate to help preserve the trails.
- If Dogs are left inside a trailer and are barking loudly you will be asked to keep your dog quiet or leave because of interference with others camping experience.
- If you cannot stop your dog from barking you will be asked to leave the farm and agree to do so with no hesitation.
- Owners are to clean up after their dogs. Do not allow your dogs to dig.
