  • WorkAbility is a new employment service for people with disabilities to support them into employment, self-employment, or access training and upskilling opportunities.

    WorkAbility is for people aged 16+, who self-identify as having a disability, and live in the South County Dublin area. We recognise that each participant’s interests and journey is different, and we're committed to providing a person-centred and strengths-based service.

     

    WorkAbility aims to:

    • Improve employment opportunities for people with disabilities. 
    • Engage and build capacity of community employers to support people with disabilities into employment and career progression. 
    • Create and maintain relationships with stakeholders, and bolster networking connections across services to support people with disabilities. 


    Participants can avail of the following: 

    • 1-1 mentoring and support 
    • Tailored personal employment development plan 
    • CV and cover letter writing workshops 
    • Career guidance  
    • Work experience placements 
    • Self-employment and entrepreneurship workshops 
    • Receive relevant certification opportunities e.g. Barista skills, manual handling, fire safety, security, bookkeeping, and more. 
    • Support finding next steps with employment, further education and training opportunities 

    Eligibility Requirements:

    You must:

    • Be over 16 years of age
    • Be living in Tallaght, Clondalkin or surrounding areas
    • Have a good level of the English language
    • Have the ability to travel and work independently
    • Have a valid work visa
