WorkAbility is a new employment service for people with disabilities to support them into employment, self-employment, or access training and upskilling opportunities.
WorkAbility is for people aged 16+, who self-identify as having a disability, and live in the South County Dublin area. We recognise that each participant’s interests and journey is different, and we're committed to providing a person-centred and strengths-based service.
WorkAbility aims to:
- Improve employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
- Engage and build capacity of community employers to support people with disabilities into employment and career progression.
- Create and maintain relationships with stakeholders, and bolster networking connections across services to support people with disabilities.
Participants can avail of the following:
- 1-1 mentoring and support
- Tailored personal employment development plan
- CV and cover letter writing workshops
- Career guidance
- Work experience placements
- Self-employment and entrepreneurship workshops
- Receive relevant certification opportunities e.g. Barista skills, manual handling, fire safety, security, bookkeeping, and more.
- Support finding next steps with employment, further education and training opportunities
