  • Michael Mann, chief financial officer of U.S. casino money supplier Gaming Partners International GPI, has resigned. Mann was named CFO in September last year.

GPI said in the filing that its resignation was filed on July 7, effectively immediately.

Despite his resignation, the company agreed to pay Mann a severance package equivalent to three months of his annual salary, the GPI said.

The company did not provide a reason for Mr. Mann's sudden resignation.

GPI President Alain Thieffrey was appointed interim CFO until Mann's successor was hired. The company said it had already begun looking for a new CFO.

GPI announced earlier this month that it had acquired Gem Group, a U.S.-based maker of playing cards, casino chips and table layouts, for US$19.75 million.

GPI supplies casino currency and table products for several Asian casino operators. The company has offices in Macau.
