Your overall experience with extensions hinges greatly on your aftercare. The health of both your scalp and natural hair as well as the longevity of your wefts can be affected by how well you maintain your hair while wearing extensions. While extensions are a wonderful option for enhancing your hair, they do require some extra maintenance! Here are some of the required aftercare for wearing extensions:

1. Always use professional products!

Professional shampoo/conditioner that are sulfate, paraben and silicone free are a MUST! Use of a leave-in conditioner as well as a deep conditioning mask regularly. If you are using heat, you must use a low temperature as well as a good heat protectant. Using hot tools on a high-temp on your hair can cause discoloration as well as breakage of both the natural hair as well as the extensions.

2. Daily use of a hair serum!

Daily use of an appropriate hair oil/serum will help keep your extensions hydrated and healthy and will help prevent "shrinkage" of your hair extensions. Avoid using any tinted serums as they can cause discoloration as well as any "oils" that are not specifically meant for the hair (ex.: coconut oil).

3. Follow proper swimming/beach hair prep!

Rinse hair with tap water and apply a leave-in conditioner. Avoid drying your hair after applying. Secure your hair back and avoid any free-flowing hair. PRO TIP: Pull your hair back into a ponytail and either braid or do a "bubble" ponytail. I also highly recommend wearing a hat to protect your hair from harmful UV rays. Avoid using sunscreens that contain avobenzone as they can permanently tint and damage your extensions. Blondes should always avoid chlorine as it can cause discoloration. In the event that you do get your extensions wet while swimming, you should brush, rinse and condition your hair immediately.

4. Be sure to take care of your hair after physical activities!

Any activities that cause your scalp to sweat excessively will require you to dry your scalp (specifically your weft line) immediately after. This mainly applies to clients wearing traditional hand tied wefts. Excessive moisture on the weft line can cause swelling of the wefts and can lead to shedding as well as a decreased longevity of your wefts.

5. Be consistent with your nighttime prep routine!

Never sleep with wet hair as this can cause matting and tangling. Before bed, apply your hair serum and brush through your extensions. Place hair in a loss top-knot/ponytail or braid. Use a silk pillowcase to keep your hair hydrated and frizz-free.

6. Be sure to brush your hair regularly!

With your free-hand, keep pressure on the base of your wefts to hold them securely in place and eliminate pulling/tension while brushing. If you have multiple rows, make sure you're separating them and brushing each row thoroughly. Always brush your hair PRIOR to washing to reduce tangles and reduce the tensions on your hair while it is wet. Be sure to use a brush that is extensions safe.

Following each of these steps carefully will help to give you the best possible results while wearing your extensions! Failure to follow these steps can lead to damage to your wefts as well as your natural hair and scalp.

PRICING BREAKDOWN FOR INVISIBLE BEAD EXTENSIONS:

Your initial investment will include the cost of the hair as well as install, cutting and custom color matching of your wefts (this does not include any coloring of your natural hair). The cost of installation is determined by the number of rows you will require.

Pricing for New Installs:

One Row New Install: $275

Two Row New Install: $475

Three Row New Install: $625

Re-Installs are required every 7-12 weeks depending on the preference/maintenence of each client. Re-installs involve completely removing each row, assessing the placement as well as overall health of the scalp and natural hair, and re-installing. Please note, re-installation cost does not include additional cutting/coloring which may be required.

Pricing for Re-Installs:

One Row Re-Install: $175

Two Row Re-Install: $325

Three Row Re-Install: $475

The pricing of wefts is as follows:

18" Hand-tied wefts: $125/weft

22" Hand-tied wefts: $200/weft

24" Hand-tied wefts: $225/weft

18" Hybrid wefts: $400/pack

22" Hybrid wefts: $475/pack

24" Hybrid wefts: $600/pack

One pack of hybrid wefts is equivalent to 2.5-3 hand-tied wefts.

With proper aftercare and maintenence, wefts can be expected to last 12-14 months.

The number of wefts/rows required depends on your current length as well as your desired length/fullness.

Clients seeking to add volume with minimal added length (2-4") typically require one row with 3-5 wefts.

Clients seeking to add volume as well as length (+4") typically require 2 rows with 6-10 wefts distributed between both rows.

Clients seeking to add maximum volume and length typically require 3 rows with 10-12 wefts distributed amongst all rows.

Please note, the more hair you have naturally or the more blunt your haircut, the more wefts/rows you will require.

SO WHAT HAPPENS NEXT??

Once your consultation request has been submitted, I will contact you via your preferred method of contact with a quote. This quote will include the cost of hair + the initial installation. If you decide to move forward with booking, we will schedule an appointment to have you come in so we can do an in-person color matching consultation as well as your appointment for the initial installation. These appointments will be scheduled approximately one week apart.

In order to book an extensions appointment with me, there is a 50% non-refundable deposit required. This deposit will go towards your installation appointment and the remaining balance is due at the time of your appointment.

Please note, a 48 hour notice is required to reschedule any appointments. Any appointments rescheduled within 48 hours will forfeit 50% of the deposit. Appointments that are cancelled and not rescheduled will forfeit 100% of the deposit. NO EXECPTIONS!
