Eventing Victoria have a large (agri-vator) and small (aera-vator) available for clubs to use to prepare their cross country track and arenas in order to minimise the risk of injury to horses
Each piece of equipment comes on it's own trailer and it is expected that anyone using the aera-vator or agri-vator will have participated in a training session and be familiar with its operation. It is important to note that the agri-vator/aera-vator are to help soften firm or hard ground. They are NOT ploughs, and will not repair dry, heavily pugged or poached ground on their own. Any use other than the intended purpose will lead to damage of the equipment. You should also be aware of the specifications and standard of equipment (tractors etc) needed to operate the aera-vator/agri-vator safely and effectively. You can download details of the specifications HERE
Equestrian Victoria will manage the arrangements for routine servicing and any repairs, but clubs will be charged a fee, which will contribute to the maintenance costs. You are also requested to update the log book that is attached to each trailer, which will assist in scheduling the service requirements.
The Organising Committee is responsible for repairing any damage sustained to the equipment during the period of hire.
You will need to advise the name of the person collecting the trailer (which may be from WPNEC or the grounds of the previous hirer), but you will be advised after you have made your booking. You may also be requested to facilitate the trailer moving to the next event venue. You will also be required to nominate the person responsible for checking that there has been no damage to the equipment during the hire period.
