Some things are just funner in bigger groups! As you know, the Town of Mountainair often does events for children and families! However, we never do things for adults! We want to change that. So find a babysitter and let's have some fun!
There is no grant funding for this type of event so we would all be on our own. We estimate this evening out will cost around $70 per person which includes two fun events together with a big group of people and dinner.
This is our initial form just to give us an idea of interest. We do not know what we will be doing yet, but once we receive feedback, we will make an itinerary so we can publish and get people to sign up. Here are important things for you to know and consider:
1.) This is estimated to be about $70 per person. It will include two events (such as an Escape Room & Top Golf, just an example) and dinner.
2.) The estimate is just that. If an event chosen is bowling for example, that's much cheaper than Top Golf.
3.) If you can help with a "ride" if possible, let us know below for those who want to go but do not have transportation. We do ask that if you ask for a ride that you plan to give $15 to those taking you for gas money. Also, please note, you are riding with someone else so you can't just want to go home if they don't want to. Last time, we didn't have anyone share rides but we do want to make it as a possibility just in case.
4.) Our current date chosen for this adult fun day is Saturday, September 13, 2025. This is the same day as the Mountainair Fire & Flavor Fest, however, this will be an evening/night event and the Fire & Flavor Fest ends at 2 p.m.
5.) There will be deadlines and pay up-front requirements. Due to these events being based on "group rates", we will have certain deadlines to get people signed up. We will also require payment up-front and those will be non-refundable. Here's the reason, if we get 10 people signed up and get a group rate for 10 people and then someone backs out last minute, the group rate no longer applies. This is the reason you need to be sure before signing up.
6.) This is open to anyone over 18. We also do not have any issues with people who aren't from Mountainair but are from other local municipalities in Torrance County OR no longer live here but have ties to Mountainair.
7.) Our adult day last year had the Electric Playhouse and an Escape Room. We are aiming to do something different this year but ultimately, it's up to you all. Check what you are interested in!
