Terms & Conditions
A rally is not a race. Island Cruising provides information to help you get prepared to go offshore or on long coastal voyages along with all the other rally inclusions. Undertaking this long coastal passage and navigating in NZ comes with risks. You can expect to encounter challenging weather conditions and poorly charted areas. The safety of the vessel and her crew is the sole and inescapable responsibility of the skipper. She/he must do their best to ensure the yacht is seaworthy, fully equipped with safety equipment (we recommend Cat 2), and manned with experienced crew who are physically fit to face bad weather and who know where the safety gear is kept and how it is used. The skipper must be satisfied as to the soundness of the hull, spars, rigging, sails and that all the safety gear on board is properly maintained and stowed. It is the exclusive responsibility of the skipper to decide whether to set out on a voyage, to participate in any rally activities or to continue in the advent of adverse weather. The rally entry fee is non refundable, but any payments made can be transferred to future rallies if for any reason you are unable to attend. Our full terms & conditions can be found on our website.
