IHKSports Volunteer Registration Form

Thank you for your interest in registering as a volunteer of IHKSports! Please take a few minutes to complete the registration form below. Once we receive your application, our staff may contact you by phone for a brief communication. If you are successfully selected, you will receive a confirmation email from our staff, along with a WhatsApp invitation to join the WhatsApp group. This group is solely for communication between our staff and volunteers regarding work-related matters.

Volunteer Participation Requirements

1. Must be at least 18 years old.
2. Interested in sports and willing to promote physical activities.
3. Open-minded and enjoys building interpersonal networks.
4. Passionate about charity work, with enthusiasm and patience for serving the public.

Volunteer Role

Volunteers will assist our staff in organizing community sports promotion activities. All activities will be arranged according to each volunteer’s abilities, experience, and desired work positions. Details of each activity and registration methods will be announced in the WhatsApp group.

Volunteer Guidelines
- Volunteers must attend a briefing session before the event to understand the specific procedures and work arrangements for the day of the event. The briefing may be conducted in one of the following ways:
1. Online meeting format, held within 2 days before the event, or

2. On-site briefing, conducted 30 minutes before the event starts.
- For each event, the minimum service hours for volunteers are 2 hours, and the maximum service hours are 8 hours.
- Non-permanent residents of Hong Kong must obtain permission from the Immigration Department to engage in unpaid work, to avoid violating the Hong Kong Immigration Ordinance. For details, please consult the Immigration Department at: www.immd.gov.hk.
Volunteer Code of Conduct
- IHKSports is committed to creating a safe environment for children and youth. Volunteers who intend to engage with children or youth, or may come into contact with them, must complete the commitment and declaration regarding IHKSports's Child Protection Policy.
- Show empathy and always respect and care for the service recipients and fellow volunteers.
- Maintain honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness at all times.
- Understand the nature and content of the service before engaging, and take responsibility for the commitments made, striving to fulfill service obligations.
- Be willing to accept reasonable guidance from activity leaders in accordance with IHKSports's mission and service goals.
- Maintain a rational and open attitude when communicating with the team.
- Adhere to IHKSports's confidentiality guidelines and ensure that the information of service recipients is not used for purposes other than those designated by the organization.

(C) Registration Information / Declaration
1. The personal data related to this application form will be used solely by authorized staff for processing the application.

2. The personal data I provide will be used for purposes related to participation in activities, issuing receipts, collecting feedback, data analysis, and other matters in line with the organization's objectives and mission. I have the right to access and amend my personal data. For any requests to access or change my personal data, I can contact the staff at this organization via email at hr@inspiringhk.org.

3. If the application is not accepted, all related personal data will be destroyed; while the personal data of successful applicants will be stored in files for follow-up by authorized staff in the future.

4. For each event, IHKSports may provide a volunteer allowance to participants in the volunteer group depending on the circumstances. Volunteers can decide whether to receive the allowance or donate it as a charitable contribution to IHKSports. To encourage volunteer groups to voluntarily promote the atmosphere of community sports, IHKSports will issue volunteer certificates to thank each volunteer for their contributions.

5. I agree that IHKSports and co-organizers have the right to use photos and video materials from the event for promotional and advertising purposes, including but not limited to publication in printed materials or distribution to the media.

6. I understand that participating in volunteer activities is voluntary, and I am willing to assume all risks during the event. I have no right to seek compensation or hold IHKSports and co-organizers liable for any injuries, accidents, death, or any form of loss incurred during the event or for any other reason.
