  • The Equipando Padres' program goal is to provide parents and caregivers with knowledge and tools to better support their precollege engineering students.

    Equipando Padres Academy will be a national virtual event where a cohort of parents interact with resources, tools, and SHPE members to build a community centered on building a sense of belonging, self-confidence, and supporting student success.

    All sessions are hosted in English and Spanish.

  • Event Facilitator Roles

    Facilitators will work in conjunction with SHPE’s team to deliver the workshops listed above. Facilitator duties may include promoting registration, attendance tracking, chat monitoring, and facilitating discussion groups. Equipando Padres recognizes everyone's journey is different, and we encourage facilitators to share their own experiences through panels and activities centered around monthly themes. Virtual training is available to all facilitators. Hourly honorariums are available for members.
