Section II: Project Proposal
We believe that evangelism is sharing the Good News of God’s transforming love in Jesus Christ. We believe that evangelism is rooted in the recognition that God is already present and active in the communities we engage, and that the evangelist’s job is to listen deeply to the stories that reveal this truth. From a place of mutual respect and understanding, an authentic Episcopal evangelism invites others into deeper life with God, whatever that may look like. This invitation carries with it the opportunity to heal old divisions and restore the church’s role to representing, first and foremost, God’s love for the world.

We invite you to share innovative proposals with us that explore one or more of the following:
- How to identify the Episcopal church, to society, as centered in Jesus’ Way of Love.
  How to identify the Episcopal church, to society, as justice-focused.
- How to embolden the cultural identity of non-dominant groups in their witness to Jesus.
- How to engage church members in building relationships with any who are “other” to their context .
- How to engage church members in receiving the gifts of all people in the service of God’s mission.
- How to equip church members to invite others to engage the Good News of God’s restorative love in Jesus Christ.

Please identify your own cultural context. What do you long to see in God’s kingdom, and how does that translate into your vision for evangelism? Please explain how your vision engages an aspect of the EES vision, above, or provide your own.

Describe the specifics of your proposal, addressing:
- Any background work that has already been done, including class(es) taken, research, networking, contacts, etc.
- Any background work that will be done between now and when the grant work begins.
- The specific steps you will take to complete the project, including the timeframe for each step.
- A detailed budget for each step of the proposal. Please include other sources of funding, whether direct or in-kind, and indicate whether funding is secured or prospective.
