  • Dear Potential Display Participant,

    The City of Moreno Valley Parks and Community Services Department is hosting Day of the Dead set to take place at the Civic Center Amphitheater on Saturday, November 1st, from 5 pm - 9 pm. Vendors are welcome to join this lively event; however, please note that spaces are limited and will be assigned based on event requirements. If you wish to participate, kindly review the information provided below and secure your booth space by filling out the attached form. Booth space limited at each event, spaces are first come first served. Applications will be reviewed based on order of receipt.

    • Location:  Civic Center Amphitheater (14075 Frederick St)
    • Setup:  2 PM - 4:30 PM
    • Event Time:  5 PM - 9 PM
    • Teardown:  9 PM - 10 PM

    What will be provided to event Display Participants:

    - A 10x10 space reserved for your booth

    Event Participants will need to provide:

    - Setup/breakdown of booth setup and equipment such as: canopies, chairs, tables, generators, etc.

    Event Description:

    The Day of the Dead (El Dia de Los Muertos), is a holiday celebrated in Latin culture where families commemorate and welcome back the souls of those they have lost. Those honoring the deceased will place offerings on their altars (ofrendas), such as their favorite foods and personal gifts. Music and dance are also used to awaken the souls and reunite families together again. This celebration dates back 3000 years and is continued to be a tradition throughout multiple generations today. Come celebrate your loved ones on The Day of the Dead!

    Altars/Art Display Guidelines:

    • One free booth space per application.
    • Altars/ Art must be suitable for all age viewing audiences. Obscene, vulgar, or alcohol related artwork
      or merchandise will not be showcased.
    •  Altars/Art Displays cannot exceed a height of 6 feet from floor to top of display and must fit within the assigned
      10 x 10 ft. space.
    • Exhibitor is to provide own equipment (canopy, tables, chairs, décor, etc.) and are responsible for
      setting up their own booth. Canopies must be weighed down properly to endure any
      severe weather/ winds.
    • No alcohol related merchandise or representations on or around altar. (example: alcohol bottles
      that resemble a skull).
    • No open flames or incense. (Battery operated tea lights are allowed)
    • Alcohol is not permitted.
    • Vehicles will not be allowed in the Altar/Art area after 4:00pm.

  • The undersigned hereby covenants and agrees to hold the Moreno Valley Community Services District and all those related to the City of Moreno Valley, California ("the City"), and the officers, agents and employees thereof, free and harmless from any and all loss, damages, liability, and expenses which may arise in whole or in part out of the use of the Moreno Valley Community Services and the City of Moreno Valley property. The applicant agrees to furnish such liability or insurance for the protection of the public and the Moreno Valley Community Services District and the City of Moreno Valley as the City of Moreno Valley may require.


    I, the undersigned hereby certify that I will be personally responsible on behalf of the applicant for payment of all charges assessed for use of the specified premises and for any damages sustained by the area used, its equipment, building, or grounds occurring through the occupancy or use of said building and/or grounds by the applicant.


    I hereby certify that I have read and understand the regulations, conditions, and terms of facility use and that I and the applicant whom I represent, will abide by them and will conform to all applicable provisions of the constitution and laws of California and to all other directives of Moreno Valley Community Services District and the City of Moreno Valley and its authorized agents which may be communicated to the applicant.

If the person signing is not an officer of the organization for whom the application is made, he/she must present written authorization from the applicant group to sign the foregoing application

  • Please Note:

    It is the goal of the City of Moreno Valley to avoid multiple vendors selling or advertising the same/similar items, however there may be some exceptions to this rule. The PCSD (Parks and Community Services Department) will assign booth space location for all vendors/sponsors. The PCSD will assign booth space in no particular order and vendors may not choose booth space location. The PCSD will NOT provide electrical hookups. All applications are subject to approval by the PCSD.

  • Political campaigning or promotion of any kind is strictly prohibited within the vicinity of the informational, retail and food vendor booths. This includes the distribution of campaign materials, solicitation for votes, or any activities aimed at endorsing a particular candidate or political agenda. The focus of the event should remain on providing relevant content or services to attendees, without engaging in partisan activities. Any violation of this policy may result in the removal of the booth from the event premises.
