Welcome to the BKR Book Wars!

This competitive summer reading program is designed for students 9-18, offering an exciting opportunity to engage with diverse perspectives through middle-grade and Young Adult books.

Over four weeks, your Book Warriors will immerse themselves in selected readings, ending in a thrilling jeopardy-style event and debate.

For ages 9-12, Book Warriors will be placed into three teams of four: Team Blue, Team Pink, and Team Orange. Spaces are first-come, first-serve. Once your child's registration is confirmed, you will receive detailed information about the next steps, including an orientation call and details about the competition weekend.

For ages 13-18, Book Warriors will be placed into two teams of three: Team Affirmative and Team Negative. Spaces are also first-come, first-serve.

The Book Warriors will receive the selected books for this year and a study guide/debate resolution two weeks into the competition.

Teams will be responsible for scheduling times to meet and prepare for the competition. Teams will also be responsible for selling tickets to the event.
