The First Cat in Space LIVE with Mac Barnett and Shawn Harris! (San Francisco Bay Area)
Linden Tree is excited to welcome children's book superstars Mac Barnett and Shawn Harris at 6pm on Monday, November 4th for an interactive theatrical spectacular: an evening of live music, dramatic performances, and out-of-this-world hijinks in celebration of The First Cat in Space and the Wrath of the Paperclip, the third book in their bestselling graphic novel series! Follow the adventures of First Cat, LOZ 4000, and the Moon Queen as they work to stop an AI villain paperclip from taking over the world.
This event will be held at the Cubberley Community Center Theatre, 4000 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto, CA 94303. It will include Mac and Shawn's stage show and a special photo opportunity with Mac and Shawn. All books will be signed; due to the size of the event, books will not be personalized. Fans are encouraged to come in First Cat cosplay.
This is a ticketed event.

- The Three People + One Book ticket includes one copy of The First Cat in Space and the Wrath of the Paperclip and admits three people.
- You can also add on copies of any First Cat book for pickup at the event.
Additional copies of the First Cat books and exclusive First Cat merch will be available for purchase at the event.

About Mac Barnett:
Mac Barnett is a New York Times bestselling author whose books have been translated into more than thirty languages. His picture books include two Caldecott Honor–winning collaborations with Jon Klassen: Sam & Dave Dig a Hole and Extra Yarn. Among his other popular books are I Love You Like a Pig, illustrated by Greg Pizzoli, and The Magic Word, illustrated by Elise Parsley. He lives in Oakland, California.
About Shawn Harris:
Shawn Harris’s first illustrated book, Her Right Foot by Dave Eggers, received seven starred reviews, was an Orbis Pictus Award Honor Book, an ALA Notable, and a PW Best Book of the Year. His other picture books include Eggers's What Can a Citizen Do, Everyone’s Awake by Colin Meloy, A Polar Bear in the Snow by Mac Barnett, and his own author-illustrated works Have You Ever Seen a Flower? and Doing Business. Harris also occasionally moonlights as singer-songwriter of the popular Oakland, California, band the Matches, whose early 2000s album art sparked his illustration career.
