AISIT allows 12 months to complete a certificate IV qualification.

An initial extension may be granted for a period of up to 4 weeks. Further extensions may be available in cases of special consideration where circumstances have a significant effect on your capacity to complete an assessment or training.

Students can defer their studies for up to 6 months.

Requests must be received at least 10 working days prior to the proposed date of withdrawal, extension, deferment or change.

Please note: AISIT will attempt to accommodate any student request, however, some units may not be available in your course due to national training packaging rules and/or AISIT does not currently offer specific units. Changes might delay your course completion date, alter your tuition fees and/or change the conditions of assessment.

Student Declaration to Support Variation in Enrolment Request:

AISIT Approval: I understand that where I am requesting an enrolment variation, it will need to be supported by my trainer and assessor as well as my employer (where applicable) and approved by AISIT’s CEO.

Evidence of Circumstances: Wherever reasonable, I have provided evidence that supports my claim. I understand that AISIT has the right to request further evidence or information from me.

Withdrawal: I understand that I will forfeit my place in this qualification/course if I withdraw and will be required to apply for re-enrolment if I wish to continue my studies at a later date. I have accessed and understand that AISIT’s Fees and Refunds, Withdrawals and Deferments Policy and Procedure will apply where I, or a third party such as my employer, paid fees on my behalf. I authorise AISIT to withdraw me from all studies at AISIT, effective from the date specified above. I understand that a Statement of Attainment will only be issued for the units competently completed, where my USI has been provided and I/third party has paid all fees owing in full (where applicable).

Extension: I understand that extensions are granted only under special consideration where circumstances significantly affect my ability to complete an assessment or training. I have accessed AISIT’s Student Handbook and the Fees and Refunds, Withdrawals and Deferments Policy and Procedure.

Deferral: I understand that I my re-commencement date will be confirmed closer to the date and is subject to the availability of a class in which I will participate, which may not be my current class.

Change to Units: Where AISIT has changed units for delivery within the course since my original Training Plan, I understand why this is required and the reasons for this change have been clearly communicated to me.

Appealing AISIT Decision: I understand that I have the right to appeal any decision made with which I disagree. This must be done within 10 days of the date of AISIT’s decision and using AISITs Complaints and Appeals Form (available on AISIT’s website).
