Job Description:

Responsibilities: The Farm Assistant is responsible for assisting with the care of horses. Primary responsibilities include weighing and feeding hay, removing manure from enclosures, and filling water troughs.

Qualifications: Responsible and reliable applicants interested in spending time outdoors caring for horses are encouraged to apply. No horse care experience necessary. Ability to shovel, rake, move wheelbarrows, pull carts required. Ability to lift hay bales (approx. 50 lbs) welcome but not required.

Location: Anchorage, Alaska (near Zoo); all work occurs outdoors

Hours: Shifts are typically 2-3 hours/day and occur during the hours of 10 AM and 2 PM. We're looking for someone who can work a minimum of one shift per week.

Pay: $20/hour

Part-time, temporary (Winter/Spring with possibility to continue, if interested)
