Nomination and Selection Process
Any chapter member may prepare the nomination, but it should be signed (or otherwise endorsed) by the chapter president. The nominator will act as the “submission coordinator” for the chapter should the submission win an award. The submission coordinator will be responsible for working with APA staff to obtain information as needed for the awards presentation ceremony.
Applications and supporting materials must be submitted by December 31, 2024.
Judging will be done by the CPC Executive Committee.
In reviewing the nominations, the CPC Executive Committee will apply the criteria of quality, relevance, originality, and significance of the program and also its resourcefulness in light of the size and resources of the chapter. Because the CPC Executive Committee is always looking for good models to share with other chapters, the transferability or lessons learned from a program are of interest. However, programs and achievements that are uniquely suited to one particular chapter will not be passed up.
The CPC Executive Committee may, by vote, move submissions from one category to another more appropriate category and are under no obligation to grant an award in any category.
Nominators will be notified confidentially by early January. Official announcements of the winning submissions will be made after all nominators have been notified.
