Train & Grain Festival Battle of the Bands

We are excited to announce the first ever Train & Grain Festival Battle of the Bands presented by School of Rock Saginaw!!

Submission Requirements:

• Submit ONE song on video (original or cover) by uploading a video to YouTube and submitting an unlisted YouTube Link. IMPORTANT: Lyrics cannot include profanity, derogatory remarks, sexually explicit content, or violence. Engaging in these acts will result in disqualification.
• Video URLs will be required on the registration form.
• Videos can be created using a single smartphone camera (widescreen, not square, please) or can be as elaborate as you have means to provide. Remember that the judges will need clear audio with a good mix to hear what you really sound like.
• The audition video should reflect your band’s personality and image. Remember that the audience is a family-friendly festival.

 

Bands must acknowledge and accept the following to participate:

• All band members must be 21 years old or younger
• Minimum of 3 members in each band
• No foul language, or crude/offensive/vulgar behavior of any kind is allowed on stage, in lyrics, off stage, or otherwise. Absolutely no moshing (audience included).
• Band members are only allowed on stage during their set. Bands or members who go on stage while another band is competing, will be disqualified from the competition.
• Winning bands will be determined by a panel of judges based on musical talent as determined by our panel of judges, crowd enthusiasm, showmanship of band members, ability to follow contest rules and originality of covers song.
• All band performances may be videotaped for possible online contest and/or for use by the Train & Grain Festival to publicize the contest.
• Attendance of fans of the band is not a factor in the judging.
