WCO Governance Plan Outreach Team Application

The Wilds Cooperative of PA is at a critical growth stage, with a rapid increase in its membership since the program’s inception in 2015. We want to ensure the program is set up for long-term success and continues to support transformational work.

The Wildly Cooperative project will do just that! This project will encompass research and planning to establish an evolved governance structure for the network that also helps evaluate how to better leverage partner strengths to help businesses in the network thrive. The plan will ultimately help to establish stronger member input and feedback loops, referral processes, etc.

Throughout the project, the WCO network will be invited to participate in a variety of outreach activities and events, including surveys and in-person engagements at each of the 13 PA Wilds counties. The outreach efforts will also serve as a listening series to understand the hardships facing PA Wilds businesses.

The Outreach Team will help support the planning efforts. The Outreach Team will help engage peer members and support the overall project by helping the Center share the project's goals, events and outcomes.

PA Wilds Center hopes to fill six spots for this Outreach Team, with representation for each membership umbrella (Creative Makers, Experience Makers & Resource Partners) as well as each of the six PA Wilds landscapes.

Note: PA Wilds Center wants to ensure this process is set up for success and that members of the Wilds Cooperative feel free to share candid feedback about the network and their goals for membership. That’s why the project will be led by some great third-party partners, chosen through a competitive process, to conduct stakeholder engagement and develop the WCO Governance Plan based on that feedback.

January - February 2025 - Evaluation & Definition of Data Collected
March 2025 - Recommendations & Outcomes
