New Business Defined: a brand new policy being written for either an existing client or a new client to our agency.
Rewrite Business Defined: a policy requiring a new application and has to be re-written either for underwriting reasons or cancellation due to non-payment.
Renewal Business Defined: a policy that is being renewed with the same carrier. Its understood that some carriers/mga's may require an application to renew the policy but for tracking and accounting purposes, this is not considered a new business or rewrite business within the agency.

Direct Bill Policies: When insurance carriers offer a payment plan. Usually clients will have an option to pay a downpayment and then pay the remainder on installment plan.
Agency Billed Policies: When insurance carriers do not offer a payment plan and wants the policy paid in full. However, a 3rd party finance company can be used to provide a client with a pay plan option. This means the 3rd party finance company will pay the policy in full for the customer and the client will pay back the finance company on a pay plan. There are additional cost associated with this option since interest charges are included in the payments.
Note: When a carrier provides a quote then it will show if there is a pay plan option, if not offered then we utilize a 3rd party finance company called IPFS to give a client the option for a payment plan (downpayment + monthly payments).
We do not use any other finance company, many of the MGA's will give a 3rd party finance company that they work with. But we are signed up directly with IPFS and therefore can do the quote/setup very quickly ourselves.

Important: You must include/upload the following items before you hit submit.
1 - LSI Agency Proposal given to client.
2 - Actual quote/proposal given to us by the carrier or mga.
3 - Payment information.
A. If payment was collected via paypal, then nothing needs to be attached since I already have a record of it.
B. Bank Account info - If it was a text or email, then just print and attached it so we can pull the money from their account.
Note: You do not need to wait and upload the invoice or binder from the carrier/mga. We do not need this to do the accounting as long as we have the attached the items above.
* You can transfer the data to another quote form to save time. Example - if a client calls for a home quote but also wants an quote for earthquake ins. You can transfer the data to the Earthquake quote form and eliminate typing the same information multiple times.
Note: To Re-Submit simply choose Home Quote (Re-Submission).

Note: You must enter this as another policy in EZLynx since it was indicated as a trasnfer within the agency. Do not simply renew the existing/prior policy number.
Policy Download: This carrier will download an electronic copy of a policy, therefore you do not need to manually create the policy. You must wait for the download to arrived in ezlynx that will automatically create the policy however you can also check the ezlynx download inbox for any unmatched download.
Policy Source Verification: We must verify the source of the policy in accordance with our agency definitions for new business/rewrite/renewal
