The Joseph W. Shoquist Freedom of the Press Award was initiated in 1989 to recognize a SIPA adviser or staff for exercising First Amendment rights at the high school level.
The award will be given when someone makes a strong stand for scholastic journalism. To nominate individuals or staffs for the award, please complete this form.
Winners must be present at the SIPA Convention.
