Tiny Tim Information and Registration Form 2024

We are looking for children to play Tiny Tim - aged 7+ (and under 137cm) for the 2024 Melbourne season of the Tony-Award winning A Christmas Carol.

The role of Tiny Tim in the 2024 Australian Presentation of the Old Vic's production of A Christmas Carol, directed by Matthew Warchus, is played by a child with disability.

Children without disability will not be considered.

REHEARSAL AND SEASON DATES (Melbourne):

Monday 21 October 21 2024 - Sunday 5 January 2025.

REQUIREMENTS

The character of Tiny Tim is nine years old and has the extraordinary power to melt Scrooge’s (and the audience’s) heart.

Children must be 7 years or above, and under 4'6" (137 cms) in height. There are no singing requirements for Tiny Tim, but the role does requires verbal text and scene work.

Children must be available for the rehearsals and performances from October 21, 2024 - January 5, 2025. The schedule rotates, with each child being present in the theatre for 4 shows a week.

Children must be based in Melbourne (or within 110 kms from The Comedy Theatre, Melbourne) and families are responsible for transportation children safely to and from the theatre.

The employment of children in the production will be in accordance with the provisions of the Child Employment Victoria and the obligations of the MEAA Performers' Collective Agreement.
