Institutional Membership information

Institutional Members are organizations and institutions that support or have a vested interest in transfer pricing, including educational institutions, research organizations, governmental agencies, non-profit organizations, industry associations, and regulatory bodies with an interest in transfer pricing in Luxembourg.

1.  Requirements for Joining:

     A. Institution and representative:

• Institution Name
• Name and Last name of the representative (s)
• Email of the representative (s)
• Phone number of the representative (s)

    B. Representative educational background:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, law, or related field.

    C. Representative professional experience:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in transfer pricing, international taxation or related matters.
• Confirmation of currently involvement in transfer pricing: YES or NO.

    D. Relevant documents:

• By applying for membership with LTPA, the applicant agrees to attach the following documents:
• Proof of institution registration
• Curriculum vitae of representative

    E. GDPR and privacy statement

    By applying for membership with LTPA, the applicant agrees to the following GDPR and privacy requirements:

• Use and Disclosure of Personal Information: The applicant consents to the use and disclosure of their personal information in accordance with the LTPA Privacy Policy.
• Disclosure of Membership Status: The applicant consents to the disclosure to third parties of their current or former status as a Member of LTPA.
• Disclosure to Regulatory Bodies: The applicant consents to the disclosure of details of any final adverse determinations, including sanctions, related to their professional and/or ethical conduct to regulators, law enforcement bodies, professional associations, and government or statutory bodies. This includes determinations made by the Disciplinary Tribunals or Appeal Tribunals (or their predecessor bodies, as they may be reconstituted or renamed from time to time).
• Promotional and Marketing Consent: The applicant consents to the use and disclosure of information, photographs, and videos taken during events on LTPA’s social media channels, website, or any other marketing channels for promotional and marketing purposes of the activities of LTPA. Alternatively, the applicant does not consent to the use and disclosure of information, photographs, and videos taken during events on LTPA’s social media channels, website, or any other marketing channels for promotional and marketing purposes of the activities of LTPA.
• Publication of Member Details: The applicant consents to their details, as provided to LTPA, and any changes to those details, being published by LTPA (including on a website) for the purposes of identifying them as a Member of LTPA.

    F. Applicant declarations and commitments:

• Accuracy of information: The applicant declares that the information provided in this application is true and correct.
• Provision of additional information: The applicant acknowledges that further evidence and information related to this application may be required by LTPA.
• Acceptance of decision: The applicant agrees to be bound by the decision of the LTPA regarding the acceptance or rejection of their application.
• Commitment to professional Development: If the application is accepted, the applicant commits to engaging in continuous professional development as prescribed and published by LTPA.
• Active participation: The applicant commits to actively participating in the Consultation Channel as prepared and published by LTPA.
• No criminal record: The applicant declares that they have never engaged in any criminal activities and do not possess any criminal records.
• Compliance with LTPA Statutes: The applicant declares that they have read the Statutes of LTPA and will abide by the rules set out in the Statutes of LTPA.
• Acceptance of Membership Fees: If the application is accepted, the applicant agrees to pay the annual membership fee corresponding to their membership category as detailed in the section “Membership fee”.

    G. Industry relevance:

• Organizations and institutions meeting the requirements from section A to F with a specific interest in transfer pricing in Luxembourg are eligible. Each application will be assessed on a case-by-case basis to determine their specific interest in and commitment to transfer pricing in Luxembourg. This assessment ensures that the entities align with the objectives of the association.
• Organizations and institutions include educational institutions, research organizations, governmental agencies, non-profit organizations, industry associations, and regulatory bodies.

 

2. Membership Fee:

• Annual membership fees of 900 EUR apply for each membership period. These fees are payable at the time of your initial registration or before the start of each subsequent membership period. Payments can be made via bank transfer.

 

3.  Benefits:

• Recognition: Get your institution name, type of membership, website, the name, last name, role and contact details of your representative mentioned on the LTPA website.
• Access to case studies and solutions: Gain exclusive access to a variety of case studies and practical solutions to enhance your transfer pricing knowledge.
• Expert contribution: Share your expertise and assist peers through our consultation channel.
• Participation in events: Engage in webinars, conferences, and our annual conference. The membership fee allows up to 2 members of the institution to participate in events.
• Multisector business network: Be part of a high-level business group covering various industry sectors, including MNEs, law firms, consulting firms, the fund industry and related fields.
• Voting and candidacy rights: Exercise voting rights in elections and have the opportunity to run for a position on the Board of members in the future.
• Employee discounts:

     o   Individual Basis:

     Enjoy a 15% discount on individual memberships and select training programs.

     Important notes:

     During the application form process, your employee just needs to inform that their organisation is an institutional member of LTPA, and the discount will be applied accordingly.

    o   Volume-Based Discounts:

    ✔  For 3 to 10 Employees: Receive a 25% discount on individual memberships and select training programs.

    ✔  For 11 or More Employees: Benefit from a 35% discount on individual memberships and select training programs.

    Important notes:

    ✔ A representative of the institution should send an email to contact@ltpa.lu, listing the names of the employees to be included in the volume-based discount benefit.

    ✔ Each applicant must complete the application form individually.

    ✔ Once identified, the discount will be applied accordingly.

This form is to be completed for becoming an Institutional Member of the Luxembourg Transfer Pricing Association (“LTPA”).

Please complete all sections of this application and submit it with the relevant supporting documentation.

Application Process:

Upon submitting your membership application, the board of directors or the Executive Committee will review it. Decisions are made during a meeting with at least half of the members present, requiring a simple majority for approval. In case of a tie, the President casts the deciding vote. You will be notified in writing of the acceptance or refusal of your membership application.
