Thank you for your interest in CYT Tucson. We are a non-profit educational arts organization teaching Judeo-Christian values through training in the arts to children ages 5-18. It is our desire as much as is possible to not turn away any child who earnestly wants to participate in our program. Requests for scholarships, therefore, are accepted by any family who wants to participate in Christian Youth Theater class sessions and summer camps who would otherwise be unable to participate in these programs due to financial difficulties. Applicants must be willing to submit financial information in order to be considered for a scholarship. It is our goal to approve as many scholarships as possible, but application does not guarantee approval. The following qualification scale is used for application approval. We look primarily at the income guidelines for free meals at 130% of the federal poverty guidelines. Occasionally, we are able to award at the 185% level.

All scholarship applications and attachments are held in strict confidence. If we do not receive all the required information, your application cannot be processed. If reapplying for a scholarship, you must submit current information and an application for each request. Scholarship applications must be submitted prior to the deadline posted on the website. Late submissions will not be given consideration. Requests are reviewed in the order in which they are received. The more we know about your situation the better able we are to consider your request. Please use the additional comments section if needed to better help us know how we may serve your family. Families must complete a scholarship request form each session. Our board reviews all scholarships for approval once the application deadline has closed. You will be notified by phone or email as to the decision regarding your application. If you are eligible, scholarships are available for up to fifty percent of the total class and/or production fee per student. Approval is for all students in the family, and all desired activities for session must be indicated at the time of submission. Any tuition charges left uncovered by scholarship monies will be due no later than the first day of class, unless special arrangements are made with the business office. Account balances are not carried over from one session to another. If account balances are not paid by the end of the session, the student(s) receiving the scholarship will be ineligible to attend subsequent sessions until the balance is paid in full. Audition fees are waived for scholarship families. The balance for any production fees will be due by the production fair each session unless arrangements have been made with the treasurer. In the meantime, if you do not already have a family account set up on our website, we request that you visit our website at www.cyttucson.org to create your account. Once we have processed your scholarship request, you will receive an email specifying your approved amount and, if applicable, you will receive a registration code to redeem your scholarship. Scholarship awards are non-transferable. Scholarship policies are subject to change at any time. Thank you for your interest in participating in the upcoming CYT production. We offer scholarships for students to take part in CYT Tucson productions to offset the overall cost so theater is available to all.Students must be enrolled in an eligible session class and meet age requirements (8 by final performance - 18 at time of audition) to audition for a production. Please have your child take a few moments to answer the following questions. **Production Scholarships are only for main stage productions during the Fall, Winter, and Spring sessions. This does not apply to summer camps.
