General
Each Board & Train porgram is custom designed for each dog’s individual needs and each family’s individual goals. Puppies and young dogs tend to benefit most from exercises to improve focus, impulse control, and settling, whereas more mature dogs may be ready for a wider variety of obedience tasks.
During the Board & Train program, the dog trains daily in short, focused obedience exercises, and in cases where Manners & Etiquette topics are desired (potty training, jumping up, counter surfing, mouthing, etc.), the training is constant and opportunistic throughout the day. The dog lives in a household setting during the training and so “real life” scenarios are presented to the dog regularly.
Between training, the dog has crate time and play/socialization time with the other dogs in the household, when deemed appropriate by the trainer.
Some training sessions may occur off property in nearby public areas, when deemed appropriate by the trainer.
