Novice-Open Barn Hunt Skills Workshop

This workshop will cover:

* Rules

* How to build value for the rat and what will work with each individual dog

* Discrimination between bedding and live tubes

* Build confidence and value for the tunnel

* Volunteer roles: scribing, rat wrangling, course building

* The 3 stages of finding odor source and recognizing when your dog is in odor

* Removing the rat and moving on

* Common mistakes and problem behaviors that can develop

* Managing your dog and proper etiquette in the blind

Our goal is for you and your dog to have fun and leave with a strong foundation to move foward with Barn Hunt. Results will vary from team to team as dogs have different strengths and drives. Handler experience plays a role in results as well.

The Mock Trial will be Novice/Open level only.
