Having a pet in your life is a privilege and not a right. Sterilisation remains the most effective method of preventing cruelty and the birth of unwanted animals.
Let’s Spay # Sa has partnered with Tales of Tails to support pet owners who cannot afford or have the means to pay for castration or sterilization of their pets,
We understand and realize the importance of sterilizing pets. Ultimately our goal is to decrease the number of unwanted pets in our area, who will often end up in a local shelter. Unfortunately, those animals rarely have a happy ending.
By assisting the less fortunate and castrating/sterilizing their pets at a reduced rate, we are not only ensuring that all pets have happy homes, but also that those pets will not reproduce.
This initiative is to help with your current pets and not encourage you to get more to add to the current burden.
DID YOU KNOW?
One female dog can produce 2 litters of 6-10 puppies per year. This means one unsterilised female and her offspring can produce 67,000 dogs in 6 years.
Pros of sterilisation:
Prevent unwanted litters.
Your pet is less likely wander or escape.
Sterilised cats and dogs are less likely to mark territory.
Sterilisation can reduce aggressive behaviour.
Eliminates development of uterine, ovarian or testicular cancer.
Early sterilisation greatly reduces incidence of mammary (breast) cancer.
