    Signing this form affirms and acknowledges acceptance of the following policies and expectations
  • FIRST DEGREE OFFENSES (delegate will be sent home)

    Possession of drugs, alcohol or other illicit materials.
    Inappropriate sexual activity
    Violence
    Stealing
    Outside buildings after curfew without permission
    Riding in or driving any vehicle, including scooters and bicycles, during conference except during approved travel activities and accompanied by advisor or conference staff.
    Vandalism, including destroying or breaking YMCA, Statehouse and adjacent property and rooms, Convention Center, hotels, Columbia Art Museum, any other facility property including individual hotel rooms, conference supplies, equipment, etc.
    Possession of firearm or any other weapon
    Harrassing, insulting, bullying another delegate in person or on social media.
    Posting explicit/inappropriate photos or comments on social media.
     

  • SECOND DEGREE OFFENSES (State Director and adult staff will confer to determine punishment, which may include being sent home.)

    Disrespectful/inappropriate/derogatory behavior during debate our outside of debate.

    Disrespectful to staff, Resource Staff, advisors, adults, chaperones.

    Failure to perform conference leadership role as trained and as expected.

    Misusing conference resources to include YAPP, Slack and other official conference communications platforms.

    Failure to attend scheduled conference events without notifying advisor.

    Horseplay/roughhousing

    Excessive noise in hotels (hallways or rooms)

    Ordering outside food to rooms without advisor permission.

  • REFUND POLICY

    Dues are not refundable.

    Conference Fees and hotel fees are refundable with written notice prior to October 20. Students who have not paid dues are eligible for Conference Fee but unpaid Dues will be deducted from refund.

    Hotel fees are not refundable after October 20 for any reason.
