  • Welcome to Central Regional TAFE's Application for VETDSS

    Goldfields Region - 2026
  • An interview will be conducted shortly after the closure of the application period to determine successful applicants for each program.

    Successful students will be notified by their school VET Coordinator in Term 4 and invited to attend an orientation session on campus in January 2026.

    To successfully complete this form, please ensure you have the following information handy:

    1. Unique Student Identifier (USI): All students must have a USI to enrol and study at TAFE. If you don't have a USI yet, here's how to get one.
    2. SCSA: Your SCSA is an eight digit number that was allocated to you by the School Curriculum and Standards Authority. You will find it on your school report or SmartRider card.
    3. Proof of Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency: If you were not born in Australia and/or are here on a visa, you will need to provide a copy of your passport or visa document.
    4. Supporting Documents: Ensure you have electronic copies of these documents handy to upload.  
      • School Report: a copy of your most recent school report.
      • Letter of Application: a letter outlining why you are interested in the course you are applying for.
      • Permission Form: to be completed by your parent/guardian and your school, giving permission for you to enrol in a VETDSS course.

    Please note: these documents are considered highly confidential and will be stored securely against your student record.

    Information is treated confidentialy and provided to Central Regional TAFE (CRTAFE) staff as required, including those staff organising excursions, and employers of students attending industry placement.

  • IMPORTANT: Students are advised that should they have an accident whilst on campus and the attending CRTAFE First Aid Officer considers it necessary to call an ambulance, due to their injured on unconcious state, the student will be responsible for all costs associated with the calling of the ambulance.

    Students, or where the student is under 18 years of age their parent / guardian / responsible adult, are required to inform CRTAFE of any medical information changes throughout the course of their enrolment.

    Note: Staff must immediately notify any collaborating Government agencies if consent is withdrawn.
