Greetings,

Thank you for your application to our Before and After School Enrichment Program We have very limited spaces and appreciate your understanding that not all families will be able to be accomodated.
1. Policies and Procedures
The first day of Before and After School Enrichment is 9/11/2024.

Parent Drop off is at 7:30 AM.

Do not leave your child unattended on the sidewalk in the mornings. Please escort your child into the building.

No After School Enrichment on Half Days.

Regular attendance is required to keep you child's spot in our program.

Students are eating dinner between 4:45-5:30 PM. You should expect a 15-20 minute pick up wait time due to the logistics and location of students during dinner.

If you are picking your child(ren) up between 3:30-4:00 PM, please call the front desk at Kuumba to let them know and sign your scholar out using the QR Code in the CEB vestibule.

A Kuumba After School Enrichment Employee will be in the CEB lobby between 4:00-6:00 PM where you can use the QRCode to sign your student out when you pick them up.

The final Pick Up time for After School Enrichment is 6pm. You will be charged $1.00 per minute for any time after 6 PM.

The final day of After School Enrichment is 5/30/25.
Kuumba Academy Charter School Before/After School Enrichment program is a free program sponsored by 21st Century grantor.

Our behavior policies are set in place for the Security and Safety of our KACS students.

We have included our behavior policy to support our before/after school program. Each after-school student will need to adhere to the rules.

Behaviors that’s not acceptable:

Bullying, fighting, disrespectful to staff, not participating in after school activities, not listening to staff in authority, foul language, no cell phones, any kind of behavior not warranted by our school codes of behavior conduct.

Disciplinary actions:

1st -Verbal warning for the student and parent.

2nd - Written warning to parent(s)

3rd - The student will be removed the program.

Any suspension time will be from after-school, not from academic school setting.

Before a student in after-school is fully accepted into our program, a parental signature is required.
