• UNLEASHED K9 - Barn Hunt Training Opportunities

  • Barn hunt is within a rubber matted, heated training hall with a regulation sized ring.  Crating can be inside IF your dog is quiet and not disruptive to other dogs working.  There is a clean portalet on site.

    ** Please no DOG AGGRESSIVE dogs - you must have control of your dog at all times & they MUST be on leash except when in the ring **

  • INTRO TO BARN HUNT 1/2 DAY SEMINAR (*For new handlers/dogs not yet on rats or new to sport) - only 1 dog per handler

    $75.00 per handler/dog incl. HST

  • BARN HUNT DROP-IN (Guided Practice) SESSIONS - Instinct/Novice/Open Levels *Your dog must have completed a seminar/had lessons/be on rats already* (max 4 dogs per time slot)

    $20.00 per session incl. HST

  • RAT N GO - Practice "Trial" (This is not for people wanting to try the sport - this is for handlers with dogs on rats that are preparing for trial and wanting to practice)

    $10.00 per run / time slot including HST - you can do up to 3 runs per dog

  • Once all entries are in you will be given approx. times of your runs ** $10.00 per RUN per dog - max. 3 runs per dog. Please choose what course you would like for EACH run (eg. Novice-Open-Open....or Instinct-Novice)

    PLEASE NOTE - I will not be able to continue to offer these unless people are willing to help. EVERYONE is expected to pitch in for a bit there are many different jobs - course building, rat wrangling, gate steward, clean up - please pitch in so that I can continue to offer these.

  • HOUSE RULES:

    AGGRESSION:  Aggressive dogs will be excused with no refund provided.  All dogs are to be under control & ON LEASH at ALL times except when individually within the barn hunt ring.  No dog-dog play or greetings to occur wether or not the dogs have previously met as dogs are often high in drive during barn hunt which can increase reactivity. 

    LIVESTOCK:  I will not with or without my dog approach the horses/donkeys or goats for biosecurity and safety reasons.  Doing so will result in my being excused from the property without refund.  Sorry guys I've had people feed my special needs horse without authorization and have their dog nip at my livestock through the fence.  No exceptions!

    REFUND POLICY - There are no refunds once you have reserved a spot with payment. Events fill quickly, and once a spot is booked and paid for, that spot is no longer available, meaning that business is being turned away.  I work full time & run a separate business and cannot be readvertising spots, redoing the running order and schedule so there will be NO REFUNDS no different than entering a CKC show. I'm sorry but for me to continue to be able to offer these I must also be fair to my sanity ;)

    DOG POTTYING - There is a designated area to walk/potty your dog.  Please only use this area & you must clean up after your dog.  It is directly off the parking lot & roped off with orange flags. 

    PEEING ON BALES - There is a charge of $10 per bale if your dog pees on a bale to be paid day of the event.  Bales are expensive and require transport and storage.  If you are concerned - put a belly band/diaper on your dog thank you.

    REWARDING WITH FOOD - I will allow people to reward with a piece of food at the tube but only with the following conditions:  You CANNOT place food on the rat tube - this scents the tube with food so that dogs following may be hitting on food scent not rat scent.  You can reward with ONE piece of food in your hand close to the tube.  ONE piece prevents other pieces from falling/getting knocked out of your hand into the course.  ALSO - ONLY freeze dried cubes are allowed.  No kibble, no crumbly benny bullies ONLY freeze-dried raw cubes (eg. PRIMAL Freeze Dried Raw)  I reserve the right to refuse to allow food rewards if people don't follow this exactly as mistakes can cause issues for other dogs which is not fair.  I always have extra freeze dried chicken cubes and am happy to provide you with a handful for the session.

  • WAIVER & INDEMNITY AGGREEMENT:

    Unleashed K9 Performance and/or The B-RAT Pack and it's owners/representatives will not be held resposible or liable for any injuries to people or animals, damages, loss of property in our building or on our premises.  In signing this I agree to take full full and legal responsibility for any injuries and/or damage to other person(s) or dog(s) caused by myself and/or my dog while attending this event.
