Medical School Mentoring Program
  • Medical School Mentoring Program

We welcome all students from California State University Long Beach and the University of North Georgia to apply for this mentorship program, but preference will be given to women applicants. The goal of the program is to assist women who plan to apply to medical school in 2025 for the entering class of 2026. Current students and those who have graduated from CSULB and UNG are encouraged to apply. Six mentees from each school will be selected and there is no cost for this program. Mentees and their physician mentors will meet virtually every other month at an agreed upon time. Virtual group meetings at 8 p.m. Eastern on October 22, 2024, and January 21, March 18, and May 20, 2025, are required. Mentees who do not attend the group meetings will be dropped from the program. Students selected for the mentoring program will receive a free membership to the American Medical Women's Association Pre-Med program. Applications must be submitted by midnight Eastern on 9/30/2024.
