  • The NC Counts Coalition Eastern North Carolina regional meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 28th from (9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.) at the Dawson Resiliency Hub at 6878 Old 125 Road in Scotland Neck (Halifax County). Registration and networking will start at 9:30 a.m. and the meeting will officially commence at 10:00 a.m. The purpose of this meeting is threefold; to foster regional collaboration, increase awareness of civic engagement and representation issues, and to increase awareness regarding funding and resources to help address the housing crisis. Confirmed and invited speakers include representatives from You Can Vote, USDA Rural Development, NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), and regional community-based organizations.

    *If the parking lot is full at the Dawson Resiliency Hub, please park in the Cedar Creek Missionary Baptist Church parking lot which is directly beside the Hub.
