Cumberland Valley Aquatic Club (CVAC) Scholarship

This annual scholarship will be awarded to a current member of the Cumberland Valley Aquatic Club, with additional consideration given to applicants with a demonstrated financial need, academic achievement, and involvement in school, and community activities. This scholarship is made possible through gifts contributed by individuals and businesses interested in helping students reach their goals in higher education.

Scholarship Award:

One-time award of $5,000
Announced at the annual CV Senior Athletic Awards in May
Check will be written jointly to the successful student and academic institution, which will be sent to the student requesting endorsement, who will forward the check to the appropriate school/university’s financial aid office for credit to the student’s tuition account

Scholarship Recipient Criteria:

Demonstrated financial need (MOST significant criterion)
Senior at Cumberland Valley High School
Current member of the CV Aquatic Club and participant in the Club for at least 2 years
Will attend a post-secondary institution (2-year or 4-year traditional or vocational school are acceptable)
Acceptance at a post-secondary institution before distribution of funds
Academic achievement (minimum 3.0 GPA)
Demonstration of employment status and/or community/school involvement
