Applicant Criteria
- A baptized member of an Apostolic Assembly church with good standing.
- A high school senior (graduating in June 2025) or higher level.
- Currently enrolled in, or accepted to, any of the following institutions: university, college, trade/technical school.
- Has a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and able to maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Able to attend an in-person interview with the scholarship review board at the 2025 Apostolic Assembly Convention in Anaheim, CA if selected as a preliminary recipient after the first application screening process.
- Able to attend the award ceremony to receive a scholarship, if selected as a final recipient.
- Previous first-place recipients of this scholarship are not eligible to apply. All other recipients of this scholarship must wait at least one (1) scholarship cycle before re-applying.
- An attendance waiver might be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Selection Process
- The award will be based upon completion of application, scholastic achievements, church and community involvement, 500-word essays, letters of recommendation and interview.
- Applicants, who are selected for an interview, will be notified after Nov 1st, 2025
- If selected for a scholarship, applicant must submit proof of school registration or acceptance before any monetary award is disbursed.
- Scholarships will be presented during the 2025 Apostolic Assembly Convention in Anaheim, CA.
Scholarships/Awards
- Award amounts will vary with the minimum award being $500.
- Scholarships to be awarded:
- Financial Hardship Awards – up to $2,000
- Theology Student Awards – up to $1,000
- General Student Awards (Graduates, Undergraduates, Vocational) – upto $3,000
Application Submission Items
- Complete online application form which includes the following items:
- Resume
- Passport Style Photo (2x2)
- Scholarship Essay's
- Two (2) letters of recommendation (see below for criteria)
- 2024 W-2 of Parent's or Head of household, if you are applying for the Financial Hardship award
- Transcripts
- Parent's Signature if applying as a minor.
- Deadline to Submit: Oct 15th, 2025
- No late or incomplete applications will be accepted.
Letter of Recommendation
Please submit two (2) signed letters of recommendation on letterhead (e.g. school counselor, professor, pastor, youth pastor, etc.). One (1) of the two letters must be from your local church pastor.
**Recommenders should not be related to you. If your father is your current pastor, you may submit a letter from your Bishop.
What to Include:
Every recommendation letter should include the following (6) points :
- A paragraph or sentence that explains how they know you and the duration of your relationship with them.
- An evaluation of your skills/accomplishments. If possible that it provides specific examples that illustrate your strengths and qualifications.
- A summary that explains why they would recommend you and to what degree they would recommend you.
- One sentence to certify you're a baptized member in good standing in the church, include church name. (Pastor's letter)
- Their Signature
- Their contact information: Title, Name, Phone & Email
