  • JOB SUMMARY

    Works with manual and automated industrial saws, grinders, lathes, and machining centers.  The conversion operator cuts and shapes final dimensions for finished parts from solid blocks of abrasive materials based on engineered specifications.

     
    JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Operate surface grinders to slice grinding stones to desired precision sizes based on engineered specifications and tolerances
    • Perform back-stop and side-stop set-ups, and select and mount tools based on job requirements
    • Measure parts using precision tools (micrometers and digital calipers) to ensure parts meet dimensional specification
    • Utilize company ERP system to log time and materials of work performed
    • Maintain a safe and clean workstation
    • Follow written instructions to mark, package and label products
    • Transfer heated products between equipment using supplied PPE

  • PRINT/PACK/TREAT/SHIP

  • JOB SUMMARY

    Work with a team of post conversion professionals and master your craft within Picking, Packing, Treating, Inspecting and Shipping Abrasive Products. 

     

    JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    Printing & Packing

    • Operate equipment (manual and automated) to print and pack as ordered
    • Follow written instructions to mark, package and label products.
    • Set printer up for proper printing as stated in work order
    • Pack finished goods as stated in work order noting any special requests
    • Utilize company ERP system to log time and piece count to finished goods
    • Place finished goods on finished good rack
    • Restock cell for next person (boxes, bags, packing foam)

    Treating

    • Ability to follow written instructions
    • Transfer parts from drying oven to cart, to treating tanks (sulfur or wax) making sure to follow proper treating work group instructions. Submerging them to proper level for treating
    • Have treatment checked (signed off) of 1 piece before removing from tank. (leaving parts submerged to keep treating)
    • Transfer parts from tank to drying grill making sure to follow proper work group instructions
    • Transfer dried parts from grill to tray, to inspection rack
    • Utilize company ERP system to log time and how many parts were treated
    • Move inspection rack over to inspection area
    • Load and set ovens confirming proper program
    • Fill tanks and melting pots at the end of shifts. 

    Inspection

    • Maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results as required
    • Ability to follow written instructions
    • Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints
    • Inspection of incoming materials by confirming specification; conducting visual and measurements test (where required), and accepting/rejecting and reporting of results
    • Inspection of in-process production by confirming specification; conducting visual and measurements test, communicating any required adjustments to production personnel and production supervisor
    • Inspection of finished products by confirming specification; conducting visual and measurements tests
    • Place non-conforming items on the non-conforming rack with proper paperwork
    • Utilize company ERP system to log time and how many parts were inspected and pushed to printing/packing 

    Shipping

    • Accurately prepare and process domestic and international shipments using UPS, FedEx, and other carriers (minimum 3 years’ experience required).
    • Complete international shipping documentation, including Shipper’s Letter of Instruction (SLI), commercial invoices, and other export forms, ensuring compliance with regulations.
    • Verify and match shipping documents against customer orders to maintain accuracy and prevent errors.
    • Pick, pack, and label orders with strong attention to detail and adherence to company standards.
    • Multi-task in a fast-paced warehouse/manufacturing environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
    • Track and confirm shipment status, proactively resolving issues or delays with carriers.
    • Maintain organized shipping/receiving records for audit and reporting purposes.
    • Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to meet shipping deadlines and customer requirements.
    • Follow step-by-step shipping procedures precisely, demonstrating the ability to listen, remember, and repeat tasks consistently.
    • Inspect outgoing shipments to verify quality, quantity, and packaging compliance.
    • Operate shipping software, warehouse scanners, and basic material handling equipment safely.
    • Support process improvements in the shipping department with an interest in leadership development.
    • Demonstrate initiative, reliability, and a strong work ethic with the goal of advancing into a Shipping Supervisor role. 

    Receiving

    • Confirm packing list matches items shipped
    • Pull PO from file
    • Accurately receive in product to inspection if needed and inventory using ERP system and documenting any shortages
    • When required accurately record lot#s in ERP System
    • Place any product that needs inspection on inspection rack, once inspected, finish receiving into inventory and place on received rack, contacting proper recipients
    • Print and file PO receipt

  • MIXERS/MOLDERS

  • JOB SUMMARY:

    The Blanks Operator runs a variety of equipment including mixers, blenders, presses, kilns, saws, grinders and testing equipment. They weigh and mix ingredients and press them to form blocks (blanks) that are then loaded and fired in kilns.

     
    JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Weigh, blend and mix raw materials
    • Operate equipment in a safe manner
    • Follow work instructions
    • Measure parts using standard tools to ensure parts meet specifications
    • Cut and grind abrasive blanks
    • Load and unload kilns with blanks
    • Utilize company ERP system to log time and materials of work performed
    • Maintain a safe and clean workstation

     

    MIXING RESPONSIBILTIIES

    • Inspect equipment and tools for wear/damage
    • Preventive maintenance – Hobarts, bowls, & paddles.
    • Follow work instructions
    • Retrieve designated materials for each work order using forklift
    • Weigh ingredients accurately using digital scales
    • Documentation on mixing sheets
    • Maintain glue and make new batch when necessary
    • Keep abrasive inventory organized
    • Basic math for remixes
    • Charge Forklift at the end of shift
    • End of shift clean up and shut down procedure

     

    MOLDING RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Weigh abrasive mix, Mold fill, & Press blanks to Work order requirements
    • Record height of each blank using vernier calipers and record weights using digital scales.
    • Place cart in drying closet at the end of shift
    • Clean molding area.
    • Inspect equipment & tools for wear/damage
    • Preventive maintenance on Greenerd – Molding table, Ram head & Safety gate
    • Retrieve designated material from the barrel farm
    • Follow work instructions & work order information
    • Start-up/Shut off procedure for Greenerd Press and operate Greenerd Press

     

    BLEND/SCREEN RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Turn exhaust on
    • Load large V-Blander with designated materials
    • Screen material using ultra sonic screen
    • Label barrels with correct information from work order
    • Bring abrasives down using Forklift and place in designated location
    • Wash large V-Blender & Ultra sonic screen
    • Clean floors
    • Shut down procedure: turn exhaust off, lights off, & lock room.

     

    GRADING RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Select run blanks for inside grade for each work order
    • Slab blanks using Super Tec Slicer and document each slab
    • Dry slabs using oven
    • Verify Wilson grading machines are reading accurate
    • Grade slabs using Wilson hardness testers
    • Record dimensions of slabs in database
    • Print test work orders new weight adjustment and send to molding

     

    GRINDING RESPONSIBILITIES

    • On and off procedure for Blanchard and operating Blanchard (grinder)
    • Clean table before grinding blanks & inspect grinding teeth
    • Set D.R.O.
    • Grind blanks to height per work order
    • Measure blank with caliper (only if there's a tolerance on work order)
    • Place ground blanks in empty cart and move to completed location.
    • Clean up procedure for Blanchard and griding area

     

    KILN RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Preventive Maintenance and document each Kiln
    • Confirm drying closet is on
    • Clean & Inspect setting plates for cracks
    • Load & unload Kilns – using hoist or furniture
    • Check airflow
    • Document each work order such as which kiln, date, airflow & operator
    • Use Citec program for the kilns to fire blanks off with proper burn cycle
    • Unloading blanks onto metal carts and send over to Depa
    • Clean Kiln room area

     

    X-Series RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Inspect equipment and tools for wear/damage
    • Start-up/Shut off procedure for WaBash, Chiller & Gemco
    • Preventive maintenance – Hobart & Sweco
    • Retrieve designated materials for each work order using forklift if necessary
    • Follow work instructions
    • Weigh dry ingredients accurately using digital scales
    • Documentation on mixing sheets
    • Keep abrasive inventory organized
    • Basic math for remixes
    • Preventive maintenance on WaBash & Platten's, Ram head, & Safety gate
    • Retrieve designated material for work order
    • Weigh pre-mixed abrasives, fill mold, & press blanks to work order requirements
    • Record height of each blank using vernier calipers and record weights using digital scales.
    • Fire Blanks off in kilns

  • Property Coordinator and Maintenance

  • JOB SUMMARY

    The Commercial Property Manager is responsible for the overall maintenance, operation, and tenant relations of assigned commercial properties. This role combines hands-on facility upkeep with coordination of vendors and contractors, ensuring properties remain safe, functional, and attractive for current and prospective tenants. 


    JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Property Maintenance & Groundskeeping

    • Perform light landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, and general upkeep of outdoor areas
    • Remove snow and ice from walkways, entrances, and common areas to ensure safe access
    • Conduct routine inspections of buildings and grounds to identify maintenance needs
    • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of common areas, including restrooms, hallways, and entryways
    • Perform minor repairs and general upkeep as needed

    Vendor & Contractor Coordination

    • Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for repairs, maintenance, and improvements
    • Obtain quotes, schedule work, and oversee completion to ensure quality and timeliness
    • Maintain relationships with reliable vendors for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other services
    • Ensure work is completed in compliance with safety and building standards

    Tenant Management

    • Serve as primary point of contact for tenants regarding maintenance requests and property concerns
    • Manage annual lease renewals
    • Respond promptly to tenant issues and coordinate resolutions
    • Maintain positive tenant relationships to support retention
    • Assist in enforcing lease terms and property rules

    Leasing & Space Preparation

    • Prepare vacant units for leasing, including cleaning, minor repairs, and coordination of improvements
    • Assist with property showings and tenant onboarding as needed
    • Ensure spaces are market-ready and presentable

    General Property Operations

    • Maintain records of maintenance activities, vendor services, and property conditions
    • Submit approved invoices for payment
    • Monitor property condition and recommend improvements or capital projects
    • Support overall property appearance, safety, and operational efficiency

     
    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

    • Prior experience in property management, facilities maintenance, or a related field preferred
