The BCDA, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, offers a $5,000 grant to eligible homebuyers purchasing a primary residence in the 97818 zip code. Grants are limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
Eligibility:
• If requesting funds for after-closing expenses, apply within 6 months of closing.
• Home must meet City of Boardman building codes.
• Minimum purchase price: $100,000.
• One-time grant; not available to previous recipients or co-signers.
• Property must be the buyer’s primary residence; homes on leased land are ineligible.
• Manufactured homes qualify only with land/home packages.
Funding:
• For closing costs, funds are sent directly to the title company.
• For after-closing expenses, funds are sent directly to the homebuyer after title company verification.
• Notify BCDA at least 14 days before closing if funds will go through escrow.
• BCDA verifies the sales agreement and confirms closing with the title company.

Application:
• Complete the online application.
• Reviewed within 10 working days.
• BCDA may request additional information and reserves the right to approve or deny applications.
Additional:
• Notify BCDA 14 days before closing if the transaction is canceled.

• Request funds 14 business days before closing.
