Take a horse-drawn carriage ride through the picturesque forest of the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park. Beginning at Billings Farm & Museum, the journey follows the scenic carriage roads around the Pogue and ascends to the Overlook. Enjoy breathtaking vistas of the surrounding mountains and the charming town of Woodstock. The tour meanders through dense forests, past babbling brooks, along sweeping fields, all surrounded by natural beauty and rich history.
You are welcome to bring a picnic or purchase a Billings Farm snack basket. Alcohol is permitted, though glass is prohibited. Restrooms are not available during the ride.
Private wagonette rides may be arranged by reservation Memorial Day Weekend through October 31, weather and trail conditions permitting.
The wagonette can accommodate up to 6 people. It is accessible for most abilities but is not wheelchair compatible. Infants and toddlers aged 2 and under may sit on a lap. Each ride is approximately 2 hours, 30 minutes long. Rides begin and end at the Billings Farm Draft Animal Barn with parking available in front of the Billings Farm Visitor Center.
Times: Rides are offered on Thursdays and Sundays from 11:00AM – 1:30PM
Price: $850/ride. Payment in full is due once your reservation is confirmed.

Cancellation policy:
- Guests who cancel up to 72 hours before the reserved ride will receive a full refund.
- Reservations confirmed within 72 hours of the ride’s start time are nonrefundable.
- A full refund will be offered if the ride is cancelled by Billings Farm & Museum. This may be due to animal well-being or weather.
