The Ann Arbor-EMU Management Fellowship is an opportunity for EMU students to be placed in a department within the City of Ann Arbor, where they will work with full time staff and assist with various projects and new city initiatives. Students will have the chance to gain knowledge and experience by being exposed to substantive work that makes an impact in the community.
The City of Ann Arbor currently has fellowship opportunities within the following departments: the office of Organizational Equity, the office of City Administration, The Office of Sustainability and Innovations, and the office of Supportive Connections. Please read the provided fellowship descriptions for anticipated Fellow duties and departmental projects. Graduate students or undergraduates who are near the final years of their program are preferred for the fellowships, but all candidates will be considered.
This opportunity will begin on September 9th, 2024 and is designed to last for the duration of the Fall semester, with an end date of November 22nd, 2024. Students who are interested in continuing their role into future semesters may indicate this interest in the application. It is expected that students will commit at least 8-10 hours weekly to this assignment. This fellowship comes with a $1,000 stipend, which will be awarded to the student's EMU account.
