Class Descriptions

Note: There will be a $15.00 service fee on all refunds.

Tot 1-4 (Ages 3-5): For the young ones! – learn how to march, stand, fall down and get up correctly and safely. Games will be used with emphasis on fun!

Pre-Alpha (Ages 6-14): For the beginner skater. Two-foot glide, one-foot glide, forward and backward swizzles and backward wiggles. Emphasis is on gliding forward and backward.

Alpha (Ages 6-14) Forward stroking, forward crossovers and snowplow stop.

Beta (Ages 6-14): Backward stroking, backward crossovers, and T-stops (left and right)

Gamma (Ages 6-14): Forward outside three turns, forward inside mohawk combination and hockey stop.

Delta (Ages 6-14): Forward inside three turns, forward edges, lunge, or shoot-the-duck (choice of 1) and bunny hops

Freestyle 1-6: Jumps, spins, spirals, footwork, and edges.

Adult / Teen Alpha & Beta (Ages 15+): Beginning forward skating, forward stroking, forward crossovers and snowplow stop, backward stroking, backward crossovers, and T-stops (left and right)

Adult/Teen Gamma & Delta (Ages 15+): Forward outside three turns, forward inside mohawk combination and hockey stop, Forward inside three turns, forward edges, lunge, or shoot-the-duck (choice of 1) and bunny hops

Adult/Teen Freestyle (Ages 15+): Jumps, spins, spirals, footwork, and edges.

Hockey 1 & 2 (All ages): Basic skating skills, stick & puck handling, and hockey drills.

Power Stroking (All ages): Focus on power, strength, turn, edges, and footwork FS1+, $85 if added as second class

Jump and Spin (All ages): Focus on freestyle jumps and spins. FS1+, $85 if added as second class

High Power Skating and Style (All ages): Focus moves in the field/skating skills, jumps, spins, and skating expression. FS 5+, $85 if added as second class

Southwest Sparklerettes (Ages 6-14): Gamma+ Skate with friends on a synchronized skating team. Skate together to create circles, lines, blocks, and pinwheels. This team competes in local competitions. $85 if added as second class

Synchro Drills (Ages 6+): FS 1+ This class focuses on synchronization of intricate steps as well as timing and music interpretation, $85 if added as second class

For Jump and Spin, Sparklerettes, Synchro Drills, and Power Stroking to have the second class discounted price of $85, a full price class must be listed as the first class.
