Rise Up Mentor Program Application
A peer mentor is an experienced upperclassman at UWA who is trained to help our freshmen navigate their transition to UWA. Our peer mentors serve as role models that foster the value of interconnected relationships and support their mentees. Peer mentors build reciprocal and dynamic relationships with their mentees, demonstrating academic integrity, responsible decision-making, and a strong commitment to UWA and student success. Mentors fulfill roles as buddies, coaches, and advocates for their mentees. REQUIREMENTS: Currently enrolled on campus at UWA. Must have a minimum of a 2.75 GPA and in good standing with the university. Good communication and interpersonal skills. A positive attitude and self-motivation. Willing to share personal experiences about your collegiate experience. Be willing to go through peer mentor training and complete all reports the program administrator requires.
