About Being a Board Member
Board members are volunteers. They serve as the fiduciaries who steer the organization towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies, and by ensuring the nonprofit has adequate resources to advance its mission. Above all, Board members should firmly believe in Story District’s mission to inspire, connect, and build community through storytelling and be willing to support by helping with outreach, partnerships, donations, sponsors, shows, and more.
