  • Mission/Vision, Faith Statment, Policy/Procedures

Our statement of faith is the foundation of Christian beliefs and living which are expressed only in the Bible. There are many other truths taught in the Bible over some of which godly men have different understanding. Therefore, this is not a statement of all that is important to believe, but of all that is essential to believe for Christian fellowship and unity. As partners with one another in the education of our children, it is necessary to ensure that we have set forth the following faith statement in order to ensure that we are all of like mind concerning the important issues regarding our faith and the socializing of our children.

    MISSON/VISION
Here at Easton Community Co-op, we seek to provide a safe environment where parents from like minded faith can work together to train their children in the way they should go. It serves as a hub where parents coming into a homeschool environment can plug into a community support system, with parent led activities from K-12.

    FAITH STATEMENT
    1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible and inerrant Word of God (2Timmothy 3:16-17) (John 1:1,14).
    2. We believe there is one God, Creator of all things, Who eternally exist in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Mathew 3:16-17) (Psalms 110:1) (Mathew 22:44).
    3. We believe in creation as presented in the Bible in the book of Genesis, chapters 1 and 2 authored by Moses.
    4. We believe the Bible teaches that all humans are created in the image of God. We hold that all human life is sacred and of inestimable worth from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life (Psalm 139) (Genesis 1:27) (Deuteronomy 5:17) (Mathew 22:37-40).
    5.
We believe that God created the human race male, and female. Marriage constitutes the Union between one biological male, and one biological female (Genesis 1:27) (Hebrews 13:4). 6. We believe all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Our sinful thoughts, words and deeds are deserving of God's wrath and just condemnation because we have violated God's righteousness requirements and His Holy character. The central purpose of the coming of Jesus Christ was to pay the penalty for man's sins through substitutionary death on the cross. (Isaiah 53).
    7. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that disciples are called to regularly attend worship, and serve the Lord in a local congregation that is part of his body; the Church (Hebrews 10:25).
    8. We hold as a belief and conviction that children are given by God as a stewardship to parents. Parents have the responsibility and authority to teach and educate their own children (Proverbs 22:6) (Psalms 127:3) (Mathew 18:3-6) (Mathew 19:14).
