The inaugural Market in the Park injected over 100k back into the North Canterbury district and is now a highly sought after event attracting vendors from all over Canterbury and beyond.

A spring Market we can all look forward to! The Devlin Group Market in the Park has been designed to support and promote local businesses. A retail market with a wide assortment of market stalls and food vendors. A spectacular display of local products and our people, where the community can come together to support our local businesses.

Join us for a stand out community event in Rangiora's stunning Victoria Park whilst enjoying live music, live busking shows, kids circus party, bouncy castles the fabulous onsite playground and the array of markets for all your retail, food and beverage needs. 

Entry to the event for participants is via donation please, all funds raised will go back into the running costs of the Devlin Group Market in the Park event series (autumn, spring and special Christmas event).

Hired gazebos will be all set and ready when you arrive for set up at Victoria Park. Hired gazebos will also be disassembled by the hire team and you won't be required to do any of the pack up.

• Listed on our 'Friends of the Market' Sign Board at the Devlin Group Market in the Park.
• Listed on our 'Friends of the Market' Digital Advert circulated on email communications to our participants, on the Ideal Events Facebook page and within the Devlin Group Market in the Park Facebook event.

Health & Safety

• All food vendors must comply with the New Zealand Food Safety requirements and have a valid food registration.
• All food vendors must have a current electrical warrant of fitness on any vehicles or equipment that require this.
• All power cables need to be set up in a tidy fashion, with none in pathways or areas where your staff or any members of the public can trip on these. All leads must be labelled with current test tags and must be connected to an approved RCD device.
• All participants must have their own Health and Safety plan for within their stall and must ensure there are no hazards within or outside of their set up.
• Gazebo set ups must include weights to secure them in windy conditions. Stallholders will not be allowed to set up without sufficient weights (one weight per leg).
• Refuelling of a generator must occur in an open air area only. Refuelling must be done by experienced personnel only. Equipment must be shut down while refuelling. Fuel is to be stored in an appropriate area with no public access. Fire extinguisher to be on hand and operator trained in its correct use.

Application Process and Payment

• Vendors will be accepted on a first come first served basis.
• Please note spaces for both Markets and Food Vendors are limited, we get more applications for this event than we have space for.
• Please complete this application form with as much information as possible.
• Food vendors and market stalls must provide photos of your set up (unless you have applied to an Ideal Events event in the past and this has already been supplied). Please contact the Event Manager if you are a new vendor and can't provide these.
• Applications must be completed by Sunday 15th of September 2024.
• You will receive email confirmation of your acceptance within 7 days of receiving your application.
• Payment is due upon acceptance of your application. I payment is not received by the invoice due date your site will be cancelled and allocated to a vendor on our waiting list.
• Entry acceptance and space confirmation is at the sole discretion of the  Event Manager. 
• The criteria for how vendors are accepted are as follows: 
  • Local vendors 
  • Vendors with neat and tidy set ups
  • Vendors with great menu options and at times those who can alter slightly in accordance with what is already booked at the event and to allow each vendor a fair trading chance
  • Vendors that don't conflict in product of other vendors already booked in.

Terms and Conditions

• If the event is postponed – this will happen as early as possible, however often this will occur on the day if the weather changes unexpectedly. Event postponement occurs when Health & Safety is at risk, if the weather poses a strong threat to vendor sales on the day or if the weather makes the venue unuseable.
• If postponement occurs the steps for notification will be as follows: an announcement will be made on the Ideal Events Facebook page, an email will be sent to all vendors and our team will then follow up with phone calls and text messages.
• Gazebo set ups must include weights to secure them in windy conditions. Stallholders will not be allowed to set up without sufficient weights. (One weight per leg)
• Ideal Events accepts no liability for loss or damage of stallholder property and the stallholder agrees to obtain any necessary permits or licenses for their activity at their own expense. 
• Set up will commence at 8am on Sunday 6th of October 2024.
• Further information regarding set up and the site plan will be provided after the application close date (Sunday 15th of September) and prior to the event.
• Once you have received your acceptance email this confirms your position within the event and payment is due immediately once you receive your invoice. Refer to the cancellation policy below.

Cancellation Policy

• Site cancellation before 10th of September will receive a 100% refund.
• Site cancellation after 10th of September will receive a 50% refund.
• No refund will be given for stall cancellations after 24th of September.
