Please read and accept the Facility Use Policy below.* This field is required.The physical campus of San Francisco Solano (Solano) is a sacred space to be used to further God’s plan and purpose. Activities specified to serve our parish, and parish volunteer teams are our top priority. Additionally, we are happy to open our doors to various external groups and activities, including our local community. Facility use is reviewed regularly (typically on an annual basis, each spring) in light of the needs of our parish. While every effort made ensures conflicts do not occur, and all are allowed onsite at their requested times - disputes may not always be preventable. We ask ministry leaders to respond to our staff and guests graciously and with flexibility if conflicts do arise. The staff of Solano is responsible for approval of building usage according to the terms of this Facilities Use Policy. FACILITY USE POLICIES The following policies apply to the use of San Francisco Solano Church facilities. 1. The primary purpose of the church facilities is for liturgical, religious education, and sacramental needs, and those needs will take priority. The parish will also have more significant events decided by the Pastor that may interrupt routine meeting schedules and cause needed exceptions to smaller groups. Additionally, on occasion, administrative or facility needs will arise and cause interruptions to established schedules. 2. Activities that conflict with the moral or doctrinal position of the church are not permitted. 3. Programs held at Solano are to be consistent with the values of the church. The senior church staff has discretion over the appropriateness of content for such programs. 4. Our facility is here to serve Solano and activities related to our mission. Clubs, organizations, professional groups, political and activist groups will not be granted permission to use church facilities, even if non-profit. This space and the related support teams are here for Solano’s use and external groups are only approved within specific guidelines and arrangements. For-profit or other commercial organizations in nature will not usually be granted permission to use church facilities or come onsite to sell their products or communicate with Solano guests. 5. It is not our regular practice to approve personal usage of our facilities (except for small, simple funeral receptions). A facility donation will be expected to cover the costs of the event and support staff to complete the reservation. 6. The facility is closed on diocesan holidays. No meetings will be allowed on those dates unless they are liturgical in nature. Please be respectful of our staff, as many holidays are working days for staff during holiday seasons. 7. For insurance liability reasons, we must have a staff member onsite when the public is on campus. Therefore, we are only open at certain hours of the day and may not accommodate late, unusual, or last-minute meeting times. We request reservations to be minimum of two weeks notice prior to reservation date. 8. To manage our staff expenses, we are not open 24/7. Please be respectful of your end time. If your meeting consistently runs late, we may reserve the right to pass the overtime costs back to your group or modify/cancel your reservation time. 9. Use of the kitchen is not included in room booking and requires a specific reservation with a particular set of use rules. If you wish to use our kitchen please fill out the specific Kitchen/Food reservation request. 10. Alcohol is not permitted to be stored on campus without the pre-approval of the Parish Director and it MUST BE LOCKED up to ensure safety since we often have children on campus. 11. If you wish to reserve storage space (i.e., closet, cabinet, or storage areas), you must make a reservation request. Items left behind are not guaranteed to be in the same place, without reserving storage space, as we have many groups meeting in the same rooms. We request no open (unpackaged) food stored anywhere on campus and packaged food to be removed from campus no later than 15 days after your last meeting. 12. Events hosting over 250 people will require special needs and restrictions. Fee information is provided when your facility request is confirmed. Otherwise, you can find more information on fees by calling the parish office at 949-589-7767 or emailing RSVP@sfsolano.org. 14. Facility spaces are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis, according to the priorities below: A. Activities that are liturgical and sacramental in nature B. Activities supporting our greater parish/large events of the parish/Pastor directed C. Activities supporting our Religious Education Program D. Activities of Solano Ministries E. Activities of social or outside groups (only as permitted) SAN FRANCISCO SOLANO CAMPUS CLOSED DATES 2024-2025 FACILITY OPEN TO EXTERNAL EVENTS: July 1, 2024 ACCEPTING RESERVATIONS THROUGH: July 15, 2025 Listed below are dates when our campus is closed to non-liturgical parish events. This is to allow for our staff to either spend time with their families or to prepare our campus for special liturgical events and Mass. THANKSGIVING: November 28-29, 2025 CHRISTMAS/NEW YEARS: December 23–January 2, 2025 EASTER: April 19-20, 2025

TERMS & CONDITIONS

This request should be submitted 14 days prior to your first event date. All reservations are done in accordance with the current Facility Usage Policy – which you acknowledge you have reviewed/agreed to prior to this request.
