Dress Code Policy for NDIS Support Workers
  • Dress Code Policy

This dress code policy is established to ensure a consistent and professional appearance for all NDIS support workers while representing Ello Care during service provision to participants.

    Dress Code Requirements

    a. All NDIS support workers are expected to comply with the following dress code standards:

    b. Ello Care Shirt:

If in possession of an Ello Care shirt, it must be clean, properly fitted, and maintained in good condition.
It is to be worn at all times during service delivery.
Should an individual's employment with Ello Care conclude, the return of the Ello Care shirt is mandatory. Failure to return the shirt will result in a $25 deduction from the final pay.

    c. Non-Ello Care Shirts:

If an Ello Care shirt is not worn, the shirt must be black.
Shirts in any other colour or style are not permitted.

    d. Pants:

Pants must be black, dark grey, or dark blue/navy.
Acceptable pants include trousers or denim styles.
All pants should be clean and devoid of any rips or tears.
Pants do not need to be pressed.

    Not Suitable Pants:

Skirts or Dresses: Skirts and dresses, including tight short or long skirts, and short shorts, are not authorized due to potential limitations in coverage and mobility during service provision.
Ripped or Distressed Jeans: Clothing items such as ripped or distressed jeans are considered inappropriate for their lack of professional appearance.
Denim that is excessively worn or distressed: Denim that is overly worn or features significant distressing is not permitted.
    Tights: Tights are not permitted.

    e. Closed-In Shoes:

Closed-in shoes must be worn during all service engagements.
Footwear should be comfortable, practical, and appropriate for the work environment.
Open-toe shoes, thongs, sandals, slides, or any footwear not providing full coverage to the foot are strictly prohibited.

    f. Work Out Clothing:

Athletic or workout clothing is not suitable for work and should not be worn during service provision.

    g. Low Cut Tops and Offensive Graphics:

Tops with low cuts or clothing featuring large graphic designs or offensive content are not permitted.
All clothing should maintain a professional appearance and avoid potential distractions or discomfort for participants.
    Personal Hygiene and Grooming

NDIS support workers are expected to maintain high standards of personal hygiene and grooming.
This includes neat and tidy hair, appropriate application of deodorant, and a well-groomed appearance.
    Compliance

Adherence to this dress code policy is compulsory for all NDIS support workers.
Supervisors and management retain the authority to enforce this policy and address any violations through appropriate disciplinary measures.
Amendments to the Dress Code Policy

Any modifications or updates to this dress code policy will be communicated promptly to all NDIS support workers.
