Castro Valley Friday Family Class 2024-2025 School Year

This class is a great introductory Forest School Class for children 12 months -36 months. The Friday Stay and Play Toddler Class requires an adult to stay with your child; it can be a caregiver, a parent, a grandparent, or a friend. Our child-led Forest School welcomes families of all backgrounds to our program. We are a Reggio Emilia-inspired school with 100% outside programming. We will meet at a beautiful farm in Castro Valley; you will receive the address after enrolling. Our family-style class is a great way to introduce your child to Forest School before age three and give them a chance to explore the forest with the support of a caregiver. We sing songs, explore in the creek or woods, hold bugs, feed the goats, take short walks, and snack during our Friday Family Class.

We meet rain or shine and provide a gear discount code to a full waterproof suit to all families enrolled in our program.

While we rarely cancel if we need to cancel a class due to extreme rains or a high Air Quality Index (AQI, we do not hold classes if the AQI is over 100 PMI), we will offer a make-up class.

Our session cannot be broken into smaller classes, and we are unable to offer refunds once your tuition is paid.

Our full-session classes begin Friday, September 20th, and end Friday, May 11th, 2025. Enrolled families will receive a school calendar showing dates the school is closed during the school year.
