Contract / Health Guarantee

Thank you for buying your puppy from KNT Puppy Tales. A puppy is a real joy to add to the family, and KNT Puppy Tales takes great pride in raising beautiful, healthy puppies who will become lifelong companions. We encourage you to contact us at any time with updates on your puppy because we love to watch them grow, and we are always happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have. 

• A non-refundable deposit of $100.00 is due to the seller/breeder upon reserving your puppy. The deposit can be made in one of two ways:
  1. Advance Deposit - The Advance Deposit is used to reserve a spot in a particular litter prior to the time that picks are made by deposit holders. Half of the deposit is required to hold a spot. When the puppies are four weeks old, the picking process will begin (in order of deposits received). When you make your pick, the second half of the deposit is due. The balance will be due in cash at pick up or delivery or prior to shipping.
  2. Deposit - The full deposit is required for puppies over 4 weeks of age. The balance will be due at pick up or delivery or prior to shipping. A deposit can be transferred to another available puppy if the original choice of puppy is deemed unfit for sale. The deposit can also be transferred to any upcoming litter for a period of up to one year from the original deposit date. After this period of one year, the deposit becomes null and void and remains non-refundable. Please keep in mind that prices do vary according to lineage, conformation and color. The seller/breeder has the right to void a transaction/sale for any reason and provide a full refund.

* We must receive your signed and dated contract/health guarantee before you take possession of the puppy.

• Shipping: We strongly encourage in person pick up of your new puppy, however we know that this is not always possible. If your puppy must be shipped, the following shall apply:
  1. A flight Nanny is, in our opinion, the best shipping option and will be required.
  2. All shipping fees will be paid by the buyer.
     1. A $300 deposit is required to book the Flight Nanny
     2. The balance of the shipping fees will be paid directly to the Flight Nanny
     3. The balance of the cost of the puppy must be paid a minimum of two weeks prior to the ship date.
     4. All contracts, health guarantees and any other required documents must. be signed and returned to the breeder/seller a minimum of two weeks prior to the ship date.
     5. We will make every effort to schedule a day that is convenient for both buyer and the seller/breeder, however since Flight Nannies normally fly standby, we accept the dates/times we can get.

• Payment
  1. Deposits and shipping costs may be made through PayPal, Venmo or CashApp. A 3% fee will be added to all payments using one of these methods.
  2. The balance of your puppy's purchase price is due in CASH ONLY at the time of pickup or delivery.
  3. If your puppy is being shipped, please see the "Shipping" section above for payment details. 

 

• Registration
  Puppies will go home with their AKC litter registration papers. It is the buyers
  responsibility to complete the AKC registration in their name. Types of AKC Registration: 
  1. Limited AKC Registration: If the buyer chooses to purchase their puppy with Limited AKC Registration, they will NOT have any breeding rights for that puppy. If, at a later time, the buyer decides that they desire Full AKC Registration, they may contact us and purchase Full Registration rights by paying the difference in the cost of limited and full registration plus $25 for our time involved plus any fees incurred.
  2. Full AKC Registration: If the buyer chooses to purchase their puppy with Full AKC Registration, they will receive FULL breeding rights for that puppy.

 

• Microchip
  Puppies will be microchipped before they leave the seller/breeder. It is the
  responsibility of the buyer to register the microchip with a registry of their choice.

 

• Comeback
  If at any time and for any reason, you can not keep the puppy that you have purchased, the seller/breeder will accept it back with no questions asked. All health records and registration records must be provided to the seller/breeder at the time of return. No refund will be given.

 

• Puppies / Dogs
  All puppies/dogs are sold as PET QUALITY only. We do not offer or imply any guarantee of show potential, training potential or breeding ability.

We maintain an important relationship with our veterinarians, and our puppies are vet checked prior to going to their new homes. In the event that a puppy should have an undiagnosed congential defect, KNT Puppy Tales will provide the buyers of our puppies the following one (1) year health guarantee. 

• This warranty will NOT cover ANY claims issued from any Bainsfield Animal Hospital or their associates, which are found in Petsmart stores. 
• The buyer is required to take your new puppy to a licensed veterinarian, at your expense, for a complete health examination within 72 hours of your puppy's arrival time. Failure to do so will result in a void of all health guarantees.
• If within this time, the buyers veterinarian discovers a congenital defect that will severely interfere with the life function of the puppy, the buyer will immediately contact KNT Puppy Tales, and will send a certified statement from the veterinarian to this effect. 
• Once the puppy has left the breeder/seller any new veterinary fees, medication, or shipping fees (receiving or returning) will be the responsibility of the buyer.
• We must receive a copy of your puppy's required veterninary examination within 10 days of your puppy's arrival date. Failure to provide this documentation will void the health guarantee.
• Your puppy has been examined by our veterinarian before leaving our facility. He/She will come with a complete medical record which will include all vaccinations and dewormings that the puppy has received as well as a copy of our veterinarian's report.
• Your puppy will come with 30 days of health care coverage through Trupanion. It is YOUR responsibility to active this health care coverage. Failure to do so does not, in any way, make KNT Puppy Tales liable for any vet/health care expenses that you may incur. We HIGHLY recommend that you activate this offer AND….THERE IS NO COST TO YOU!
• To the best of our knowledge, this puppy is free from health defects, and is the best pet quality available.
• This puppy is guaranteed from congenital problems that will severely interfere with the life function of the puppy until he/she is twelve months old.
• Replacement guarantee is available for puppies that develop a life-threatening congenital disorder that is debilitating in nature and would prevent the puppy from being a companion pet.
• All items that are covered under this guarantee are by replacement only. We do not give refunds.
• The puppy would be replaced with another puppy of equal value at the soonest availability, provided the following conditions are met.
• The buyer will provide the breeder with written notification within two (2) business days from two (2) separate licensed veterinarians (not associated with the same business/clinic) of the same life-threatening congenital diagnosis.
• If the puppy should die, the buyer must provide a copy of the necropsy (autopsy) report that states that a life-threatening congenital defect was the cause of death. If the attending veterinarian cannot determine the exact cause of death by necropsy, then the buyer must assume the financial responsibility and have the animal sent off to a state lab for a complete work up to determine the exact cause of death, or the warranty will be null and void.
• A puppy with a congenital defect must be returned or euthanized only with the prior permission of the seller. The puppy must be diagnosed with the defect by a veterinarian with the first twelve (12) months of age.
• A returned puppy will be returned to the seller at the buyers expense and will be returned in good condition and health, other than the specifed problem, along with its registration papers and all up to date vaccination and medical records.
• The buyer agrees to keep up with all vaccinations, flea medication, routine parasite checks (external and internal), worming protocol, and heart worm treatments. The buyer further agrees to maintain record keeping of such, should puppy ever have to be returned.
• This guarantee does not include injuries or problems that the puppy develops due to accidents, negligence, and/or abuse. This guarantee does not include hypoglycemia, (low blood sugar), allergies, thyroid disfunction, demodectic mange, autoimmune disorders, coccidia, giardia and kennel cough, which may be common in puppies and is usually caused by bacteria and must run its course. Likewise, certain ailments that are normal to most puppies such as, but not limited to, the common cold are not covered and are considered to be normal puppy ailments.
• This guarantee does not cover internal or external parasites. Your puppy has had preventative treatment for these and you, they buyer, are expected to maintain this treatment.
• There is no guarantee of the actual mature weight of this puppy. Sizes and colors are estimates only.
• There is no guarantee that the buyer will be able to show or breed the puppy regardless of show or breed potential.
• This guarantee does not cover any abnormalities in bite, hernias, stenotic nares (pinched nostrils) or retained testicles. No guarantee of fertility of any dog used in any breeding practices is expressed or implied.
• The seller/breeder assumes no responsibility for this puppy after leaving the premises. Medical expenses, landlord approval, allergies to animals, disagreement with family, or for any other reason, other than stated.
• The buyer is aware that owning a puppy means trips to the veterinarian and understands that he/she will be responsible for all veterinarian-related expenses.
• This guarantee applies to the original owner only and is not transferable to a second party.
• No replacement puppy will be given if the puppy has been bred or euthanized without the permission of the seller/breeder.

This guarantee is null and void if the above terms and conditions are not fulfilled and applies only to the puppy listed below.

 

I understand that I have been provided with 30 days of health/accident insurance for my puppy. I further understand that I must activate said insurance immediately. I hereby release KNT Puppy Tales from any obligations resulting in undiagnosed illness or injury occurring within 30 days from this date.

I am 18 years or older, I have read, understand, and completed the above guarantee information regarding the sale/purchase of this puppy and agree to this document in full. Once the deposit or payment in full is made, this guarantee becomes active immediately. This is a legally binding document. In the event of legal action, the Buyer(s) will assume all legal costs including, but not limited to: Seller's/Breeder's attorney's fees and legal costs. I further understand and agree that any legal action must take place in the county and state (Cherokee County / Oklahoma) in which the Seller / Breeder resides. The laws and venue of the state of Oklahoma, county of Cherokee will govern this guarantee.
