IN-PERSON OR VIRTUAL - QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. As a QPR-trained Gatekeeper you will learn to: Recognize the warning signs of suicide, know how to offer hope, and know how to get help and save a life.
IN-PERSON OR VIRTUAL - Talk Saves Lives: An Introduction to Suicide Prevention is a community-based presentation that covers the general scope of suicide, the research on prevention, and what people can do to fight suicide. This program provides participants with a clear understanding of this leading cause of death, including the most up-to-date research on suicide prevention, and what they can do in their communities to save lives. Participants will learn common risk factors and warning signs associated with suicide, and how to keep themselves and others safe.
IN-PERSON OR VIRTUAL - This is a condensed version of the standard 1-hour training. Participants will learn steps to prevent an opioid overdose, how to recognize the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose, information about naloxone and how it works, how to administer intranasal Narcan (naloxone), and what to expect after administration. Training also includes a brief review of the opioid health crisis current conditions and trends, naloxone laws, and how to access naloxone. Each participant will receive a free box of Narcan intranasal spray.

IN-PERSON ONLY - Intended for high school classes or community settings with groups of teens, ages from 14 to 18, It’s Real: Teens and Mental Health for High School Students is a 45-minute program that provides young people with mental health education and resources. The program raises awareness about mental health issues, how to start a conversation about mental health, the importance of self-care, and how to reach out for help.
IN-PERSON ONLY - PreVenture is an evidence-based prevention program for youth aged 12-18 that uses personality-focused interventions to promote mental health and reduce the risk of substance use. These workshops are designed to help students learn useful coping skills, set long term goals, and channel their personality traits towards achieving them, so that they can thrive in all areas of their lives. PreVenture recognizes the importance of individual differences in how people interpret and cope with different types of challenges in life.
IN-PERSON ONLY - Gizmo’s Pawesome Guide to Mental Health was developed to introduce mental health and wellness knowledge and skills to school-aged youth with the hope that they may keep and apply what they learn for a lifetime to help them stay healthy and safe. This early childhood adaptation of the original Gizmo curriculum aims to help young children understand their emotions, learn activities they can use to support their own well-being, and how to identify and talk with trusted adults if they are struggling. The intended knowledge and skills gain includes:1. Knowledge of basic emotions and how to identify them; 2. Daily activities that support mental wellness;3. How to identify and connect with trusted adults; and4. Resources to share with trusted adults. The activities strive to help young children, their trusted adults, and the settings in which they live support their mental health and create a greater sense of individual and community connectedness.
