DESCRIPTION OF SPELLING SOLUTIONS VIP PROGRAM

The role of Days with Dyslexia LLC is to empower parents to implement strategies with their children, without directly engaging in clinical intervention.

Days with Dyslexia LLC will not be working directly with your child. We will take information from you, the parent/ guardian, and make recommendations for home activities you can implement to improve reading and spelling success. We will also provide you, the parent/guardian, with educational materials so you can skillfully support your child's literacy development at home. 

This program is designed to offer educational services only. It does not involve diagnosing, treating, or providing speech-language therapy services to children directly. In compliance with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Scope of Practice, I do not provide clinical services outside of my licensed states. Parents are encouraged to seek local licensed professionals for clinical evaluation or therapy if needed. 

This service is not reimbursable through insurance. All data will be analyzed and interpreted by Days with Dyslexia LLC employees who have advanced training in spelling error analysis. 

HOW IT WORKS

1. After completing this form, you will immediately receive an email giving you access to the Days with Dyslexia Spelling Solutions VIP page. 
2. Review all instructions and the data collection protocol.
3. Collect your child's spelling and reading samples then submit for analysis.
4. Days with Dyslexia will analyze and interpret your data then create a sharable report with individualized recommendations. 
5. Implement individualized recommendations, and watch your child's confidence with literacy grow!

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

• Parents must have technology available to submit a picture of their child's spelling sample and to create an audio file of their child reading (most smart devices have this capability).
• Recommendations include use of a third-party application. Access to this application is not part of the Spelling Solutions VIP Program and must be purchased separately. Currently, the price is listed as a one-time fee of $23.99. The application is only compatible with iPad and requires iO S8.1 or later. Please note that the application does NOT work with iPhone or fire tablets; only an iPad.
• The application is not meant to be used independently by the child. It should be used with support from the parent/guardian to ensure specific learning strategies are utilized. These learning strategies are taught via recorded video on the Spelling Solutions VIP page. 
• If you do not have an iPad with iOS 8.1 or later, the learning strategies can be applied to any reading material, and a list of instructional level words can be provided upon request. 

RESPONSIBILITIES OF PARENT

• Watch all instructional videos before beginning data collection.
• Select and administer proper data stimuli based on instructions.
• Collect and record spelling and reading samples.
• Submit intake form with reading and spelling samples.
• Watch educational videos while waiting for your child's personalized report and recommendations.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF DAYS WITH DYSLEXIA LLC

• Provide training videos.
• Provide data collection protocol.
• Once all data is submitted, Days with Dyslexia has up to 10 business days to complete the data analysis and generate a report.
• Provide parents with a report based on data submitted with individualized recommendations for how to support your child's literacy development at home. 
• Provide access to instructional videos for implementation of recommendations.
• Provide at least 3 months of ongoing professional support through weekly zoom calls, which are recorded, as part of the Days with Dyslexia VIP Membership . This will help you problem solve any unique situations you may encounter while supporting your child on their literacy journey.

By purchasing your Membership to the Spelling Solutions VIP Program, you acknowledge that all information collected by Days with Dyslexia LLC is used for educational purposes only, and is not intended to observe, diagnose, evaluate, form, treat, or otherwise analyze any learning disability, health concerns, speech issues, or other condition of speech language pathology. Days with Dyslexia LLC will have no direct interaction with your child as part of the Spelling Solutions VIP Program, and all information collected by Days with Dyslexia LLC shall be provided by you for the educational purpose described in the Spelling Solutions VIP Program materials. Days with Dylexia LLC agrees to use the information provided by you for the non-diagnostic purpose of providing you with an educational analysis of reading and spelling fluency for your child. Days with Dyslexia LLC does not collect or review existing personal, health, or school records of your child.
