Thanks to ongoing support from The Kristen Elizabeth Conte Fund, Columbus Children's Theatre increases equity, inclusion, and access by providing Theatre Arts Training scholarships of up to 80% off tuition to audiences traditionally excluded from professional arts experiences due to economic disparities and hardship with the Conte Pass program.
Eligibility for the Conte Pass program is established using free and reduced lunch program participation, household income guidelines, a statement of need, motivation for participation, and recognition of other barriers to participation.
Explanation for Membership Duration and Financial Need Assessment
We understand the significance of financial considerations in pursuing educational opportunities, and we aim to provide clarity regarding the financial aspects of our program. Membership in the Conte Pass program extends over a duration of two years. To streamline the financial aid process, we have implemented a system where the demonstration of financial need is required once every two years.
Families are required to submit a comprehensive financial aid application only once during the initial application process. Once approved, this financial aid approval is valid for the entire two-year membership period. However, it is important to note that families must still apply for and request a scholarship for each specific session within those two years.
By adopting this approach, we aim to reduce the administrative burden on participants and their families, providing a more efficient and user-friendly process for financial aid. It is important for families to proactively apply for scholarships for each session within the two-year membership to ensure continued financial support and access to the valuable opportunities our program offers.
We remain committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible learning environment, and our financial aid structure is designed to support participants throughout their entire two-year membership in the program. If you have any further questions or require additional clarification, please do not hesitate to reach out to our financial aid office.
